the answer i had was only a little different, both the numbers were the room number of the hospital.

Haha,

You can't excavate earth from a hole, not unless you intend to excavate further. The hole means that the earth has already been excavated bluetongue.gif.

heres the next riddle:

A boy walked to a door, turned it knob, pulled it open, walked through it, closed it behind him. He then walked down a hall, came to another door, turned its knob and tried to pull the door open. it would not move. he noticed that the door had a lock, and he took a key out of his pocket. He placed the key in the lock, the key fit perfectly, and turned it. But whatever he did with the key, he could not pull the door open. Then someone passing by in the hall told him somthing that enabled him to open the door easily. what did the boy learn that allowed him to open the door without further problem???? conf.gif conf.gif

Do you mean that I have to let other people answer first before I can answer? Doesn't seem very fair considering that Polarbird was given 2 points and allowed to continue answering questions . . . but I guess that's just my opinion.
