Come to Monterey, the weather's the same year-round (everything you hear about coastal California is a myth. We have fog in the morning, which dies off around 7 or 8. Then the rest of the day is one of the following at random: sunny, cloudy, or rainy. Fog returns at about 3 AM).
Warning: You will be dragged to southern California (Disneyland!) with us if you come. Mom doesn't like to take no for an answer

Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Hey,
I've never been to a summer camp--I've always worked during the summer or did BS stuff with my friends. As far as Bug Juice goes, that show is filmed at multiple camps each season. So depending on what season you saw, it could be a different camp. I don't watch it really, but my mom likes it, lol. As far as everything for nice weather and stuff like that, Iowa has some pretty good camps. The weather is typically nice all summer. The only thing that can be an issue is humidity. I work as a camp counsellor for kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th, so I have a pretty good concept of where kids like to go for camps. There is a place out here in Boone, Iowa that has a pretty huge camp. The staff at my place of work had a mandatory retreat there over the summer. They have cabins and everything. There is a lake, and there are also places to go canoeing. There is an archery range and a repelling wall. There are also many horses which I saw people riding often while I was there. It seems like a good thing for young teens, and I would encourage you to look into it. If you are interested, I could easily get you the contact information for the summer camp. Just let me know if it sounds like something that seems appealing. Oh yeah, by the way, they also have a swimming pool with a waterslide which is pretty awesome when it's really hot outside
. I know the kids sure loved it when we were out there, and I think you would, too. There are so many things that I didn't list! I guess if you are interested you'll have to check it out!

P.S.- Toast a marshmallow for me this summer--I love toasted marshmallows

http://www.interlocken.org/ I go here... it's in New Hampshire. Decent wheather... awsome people.... international (so there's a ton of people from other countries). They have a lake... and um... boats and sports and dance and art and all kinds of campy things. Good food but there are two set backs. 1) Expensive, $3000+ 2) 13 and older has to live in a tent or condo ( a little mini cabin thing thats about the size of a large closet). Otherwise I like it... the couselers are cool and there's lots of "classes" to choose (or you can make your own). Oh... and if anyone's wondering why a 20 year old goes to summer camp then you should no my profile is wrong, I'm 15, I can't seem to change it...
