I believe that we, as a clan, are now capable of ending these conflicts. As I have said before, it is up to SeeD to end them, though the leaders shall guide everyone in the right direction.

I will truthfully say that now the conflicts are mainly being caused by a few members, and if you have been starting them you know who I'm talking to. You will need to stop, not only for SeeD, but for yourself. If you wish to gain respect in our clan, you will need to be more responsible with what you say. Blowing up at others who may have annoyed you a little is not looked upon highly, and why would you want the image of someone who has a short temper and little ability to control oneself?

Also, everyone has to realize that the ops and mods are there to help you, and to prevent everyone from being hurt by the few who wish to cause problems. I have received a number of complaints about a certain op because he/she frequently uses his/her ability to prevent flaming, and this is absurd. Would you want an op to just sit there? Of course not, and perhaps if everyone is responsible about what they say he/she, nor any other op, will have to use their power to kick or ban users. The last thing I will do is remove an active op or mod and replace him/her with someone who will allow these situations to occur.

With the above in mind, let's discuss the conflicts (without flaming) here. Maybe this can help dissolve the negative factions and grudges, and hopefully those who repeatedly start conflicts will understand what is happening and help to end these situations once and for all.

I think most conflicts are the effects of people mis-interpeting things. I have seen a lot of conflicts spawn over nothing. Sometimes it can be hard to just let it all go, but thats what you must do, for the most part. I have been in ones where person A would attempt to resolve a conflict and person B would just keep turning it down.

Well if we are putting them in the open, do I have permission to display the PM conversation I had with a member of SeeD (I think you did get word of this).

If you do end up posting it, I would suggest blocking out the persons name or editing it to "Person X:" or something like that.

I know who the OP you're talking about is, and he/she is doing a great job of OPping the chat. He/she just stands up for what he/she rightly believes in, and he/she kicks when there is flaming.

On the other hands, my conflicts with someone else have been a bit different.... Everyone obviously knows who it is, but we alwyas forgive each other at the end.....

As headhunter said, I believe that some of the conflicts have mis-interpreted information existing in them.

15th December 2003 - RS2 Map Expansion

Hi - today we have expanded the RS2 map area, to include Seers village, Camelot, Catherby and Brimhaven.
This includes the following quests:
- Murder Mystery
- Merlin's crystal
- Sea slug

This area also includes shark fishing, big net fishing and magic trees.

There are lots more areas which are almost ready, expect the heros quest and the family crest quest to be in the game soon.

I responded by saying:

Ryl posted about this in SeeD Inn.

Person X responded with:
QUOTE

Yes, I post it first, but of course, Ryl is a mod, so just close my post, I don't give a ****ing ****.

Gotenksjr3 intervend by saying:
QUOTE

I don't really think it's worth fighting over... It doesn't overly matter if there are 2, they're both in relevant spots. Ryl's post does have some screenshots as well as the info from runescape.com, by the way. Not sure what you mean by more correct, you both quoted the same thing... It isn't a thing about who's a mod and who's not, people just tend to check SeeD Inn more often. Therefore Killer would have seen that first, and not bothered looking at the times...

Theres no need to start cussing at him, it isn't that important a matter. And on the other side, no real reason why this should be closed...

Person X responded by saying:
QUOTE

I have a lot of good reasons to start cussing at Killerconvic...

you do ? i wont go any further, i dont want a ban.

gotenks, you are partially right. i saw it first because when i log on, SeeD Inn is right at the top, this is at the bottom almost.

Person X responded with:

If any one gets banned for this, it's me, that's how the system works.

I decided to have a PM conversation with Person X. I started by saying:
QUOTE

if you have such a problem with me, tell me what it is.  i want to know.  i have said nothing that should have been taken offensively.  talk to me about it before you flame me on the boards.

Person X responded with:
QUOTE

Well, I just generally don't like you. But I don't see any reason to tell you this, since you can't, and shouldn't, change what you are. I'll just have to learn how to deal with it and ignore you.

I responded with:
QUOTE

i doubt i would change (unless it was a reason i agreed with, and changing would be the answer), but i want to know why you dont like me. i dont want anyone to get banned, and there is no reason in my eyes for you to hold it in. i would rather this be solved where no one can get in trouble than you exploded one day and flaming me.

Person X responded with:
QUOTE

I give up. I might as well go talk to a wall. You haven't heard anything of what I've said.

Sorry for the length, and for putting Gotenks' name out there, but I anted to get this in the open in the attempt of solving this. I just hope that Person X doesn't want conflicts still...

Person X tends to be a bit irritable... I think most people probably know who it is, but it was still nice of you to change their name. As for the second last comment, they were saying it was their problem not yours, and to leave it. Thats why they got annoyed at the end. I've seen a few people annoyed at you Killer, not sure why. I think it's partly to do with your activeness, but you're not that much more active than several other people.

Anyway... I think it's a little soon to be saying we're uniting, it's only been several days since one of the biggest conflicts we've had in a long time. I think with the "rebellion" happening so recently, everyone has been thinking about what they post a bit more. I hope this continues...

As yo ucan see this conflict was started by a mod closing a post....i can point out 3 or 4 cases were a mod closing a post has caused anger in some people.....im dealing with something in my personal life right now thats very...painful....and so i just dont give a **** about all this stupid **** anymore. Its not something i feel like talking about with anyone in this clan cause about 80% of you are to immature tounderstand and about half the rest dont like me anymore...and so i will no longer be persuing this venture....to all urebals find urselves a new leader and how about you all try to agree on a goal...

*Hopes he's not speaking too soon*

It looks like the Age of Conflicts (as I call it) is ending. Since the war ended, I've only seen two small ones, both of which were resolved quietly among those involved.

I'm pleased.

And deathrise, uhm... what are you referring to? conf.gif
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Why do have to have all this conflicts, cause some people are just plain bitchy and looking for a fight. Well guess what, you want a fight?, bloody oath I'll give you one! I'm sick and tired of all these people being so arrogant, can't we stop these conflicts, started from petty arguments and debate to flaming and cursing.

The days of corruption and deceit are still upon us.

Look we can't let our guard down, but things have been quiet recently... We just need to think about if what we do will offend others here, and also avoid flaming back if someone gets angry at us.

The people that check the title of a topic and then reply in it are funny biglaugh.gif

I think Gotenks is right, the conflicts have pretty much ended, and most of the time people think before flame someone on the boards, and in SeeD chat, I haven't seen any conflicts at all.

But for some reason, I think there's going to be another conflict, perhaps not as major as the Rebellion, but in my mind, something is telling me there's going to be a conflict.
