I remember the good old days when full rune was a badge of honor. I miss those days. What they could do... is.. add a decay to skills, like in the sims online. say, you lose 1% of all your XP in every level everyday. Then make the respawns on things higher. Just, basically ruin the fun of the game.
OR
TUrn everything except quests to player owned, add houses, shops... stuff like that.

Sour grapes!
Economy waits like time, for no man (or moaner for that matter).
Change drives demand; demand drives economy (see that word change? thats right ppl, things do change & that "only rune miner" from yester-year has probably moved on.
Join us in change or die slowly in the stagnent lowly pool that is "The unchanged".

I thought Id mention something here..
Resources=XP, XP equal's HiScore
Armor only equals Protection and armor can be easily be replaced...
Many of you will understand the logic of how resources have risen compared to the prices of rune armor weapons etc..its a fact that with time when something is massed produced that it is becoming cheaper.
The only problem with Hats, was it wasn't massed produced over a sustained period of time...This involves a rarity of the item. That is the only real kicker here.
Dont look at rune items as a single piece, its a set that people need, and with over 15,000 players in the economy that is 15,000 people who needs a set..that is 160k per set that is needed to be spent on.
its hard to explain..but XP is worth a lot more than money, because XP is what gets you on the hiscores...Armor doesn't get you on the hi scores..it is just a bridge..

The runecrafting and the mage combat updates will greatly throw off the economy. Most runes will go up in price right away, then gradually lower in price as people become higher levels in runecrafting. Also, with the magic shop in Port Sarim selling higher level runes, the prices will fluctuate greatly.
I think a good skill to improve (members only) is fletching. Horde arrows (for a f2p moneymaking technique). The rangers will be able to shoot more effectively, and use arrows in hand-to-hand combat. The demand for arrows will greatly increase upon the release of RS2, and gradually increase as time goes on, and people realize the importance of arrows, and the smart money investment. I personally plan on investing a few thousand gp into arrows, then selling them after a month or two. This should be good for a 25%+ profit.
I am going to get my smithing up, and hopefully I will be able to take advantage of the fluctuation in the price system. I am sure that there will be an increase in demand for steel fulls, as many pures will realize that they won't be as effective, and will become steel pures. Another good way to make some money for us f2p people.
