I wonder... if I disabled all links in the page the Google bot goes to, would it be trapped forever?

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows how long the Google Bot has been on. I may be crazy, but for some reason I think it's been here since yesterday scanning topics...

hey cspace. i know what google.com is. but i really dont get the google bot. i know in diablo or warcraft wat bots are but what is a google bot?

It scans the website for key words, then adds them to googles search, so if we were selling ruby ammys for only 2k, it might pick up ruby ammy 2k and put that onto the search function. Then, if I went on google and searched for ruby ammy 2k it would lead me here.

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it either follows users of Google around and scans the sites they visit (random), or they just cruise around the net through random links categorizing URLs and keywords. They can be good for traffic, or they can be a curse because they tend to categorize sites in the wrong categories...
For us it's good however, but I haven't seen one stick around for this long.

yeah thats great *sarcasim* lol j/k but i think i know why. i think curved space is a big thing and it appears that seed is also BIG so possibly it gets more from a big place. or they are just programmed for it.

I think I may be the most active user....
I am thinking that it will leave after a few hours of insanity. Whenever it gets to the insanity board, it will combust, and the insanity will corrupt its coding. It will turn into a turkey.
