Yes I'm finally writing this up... A Rs2 Beta game of hide and seek, as a few of you would have tried already. The date will most likely be next Saturday at about 4 PM EST, but that can be changed if I don't think many people will be able to make it. I'd like to hear peoples opinions about where this should be held, personally I think it works better at Falador. Anyway...

Date: Saturday 31st of January
Time: 4 PM EST (thats 8 AM Sunday for us, bigbro biglaugh.gif )
World: Probably B36, but mention if it's laggy for you

RULES
-No leaving the town we decide on
-No Teleporting
-You tag others by sending them a trade request
-Each game lasts for 10 minutes
-The person who is 'it' is rotated each game, so everyone gets a shot
-You can go upstairs/downstairs, but no mining guild in fally or gang bases and sewers in Varrock.
-The points are tallied up after each round, like this

The seeker
Each person caught within the time limit is worth 1 point

Everyone else
2 points for every match they're not caught, and that becomes 5 points if they're the only person not caught.

Everyone is welcome, but unfortunately it's members only (has to be on Rs2 for running). From past experience this can be a lot of fun, and I hope plenty of people decide to join in. Depending how popular this is, I might have to change around the rules a bit to keep it fair. I'm flexible when it comes to the time/world/rules/etc. so either post or PM me if you have a complaint, suggestion or question. Theres probably some stuff I missed, so I'll edit this post once I need to add more details.

Current Participants
  • Gotenksjr3 (w00t, go me, gonna try to come last again biglaugh.gif)
  • Star Jedi (if she doesn't develop too long a trail of guy characters on her way to falador)
  • Ryanbk90
  • Obiwan22
  • Gaggelini
  • Superbuu91
Afterwards
I'm thinking that a picnic might be nice, if people would like to bring a few different types of more unusual food. If your cooking isn't too good, you could always just bring some meat. After the first hide and seek game, obiwan me and star went to falador park by the park benches and ate chocolate cake, bread, chicken, not to mention MEAT PIZZA! (lol). If people like the idea of this, it'd be good to finish off the event. We may even have a dancing competition, as long as we give Star plenty of warning to look away bluetongue.gif (it's not THAT bad, Star).

Falador! Definitly better when we last played it biglaugh.gif
QUOTE

Nooo.. 20 (Like last time)! Or.. 15! Someone needs to have a stopwatch. I can't find everyone that fast bluetongue.gif Also, I'm pretty sure I can make it TheSmile.gif

The chances are we'll get more people this time, so it won't be as important to catch everyone. It's more about getting as many as you can within the time limit. We won't have anywhere near enought ime to have everyone seeking (and thats where most of the points are) if games are 20 minutes long. I'll consider 15, but only if there isn't much of a turnout for this.

It sounded like you guys have a lot of fun last time you did this. I can't wait to try it out myself when RS2 comes out for F2P. I guess Falador would be better for this based on the opinions of those who did this a short while ago.

A great first event Gotenks, great job! thumb.gif

Have fun everyone! bigcheek.gif

This isn't really getting much attention... If I don't get at least a few more people interested, I'll either have to cancel it altogether or re-schedule to a time that suits people better.

Yeah, the backup/transfer sort of messed up the activeness of the forums for a little while. I think I'm just a little annoyed because I'm starting school the day after I was planning to do this (so it could be a while before I get another chance, if I have to change the date). It'll probably still go ahead, it's just most of the people so far have been saying that they'll try to go, so for all I know it could end up with only 2 or 3 people turning up. I'm considering perhaps we should finish it off with what happened last time, a picnic in falador park. If a few people are able to bring a little bit of food (preferably different things, like stew, pizza, chicken, pies, cakes, etc.) I think that'd work quite well. We'll share it around, and you can actually see people eat now. I have to figure out how this putting things on tables works though, that might be better than a picnic.

EDIT: Ok picnic thing is added, check down the bottom of the first post.

Yeah, I wouldn't do it on Rs2 except that running is an integral part of it.
