well, some of you may have heard me and whitefire talking about a new garden and using a council instead of single commandership. well, why no add this to the whole clan?With Cspace at head of council, then the Global and super mods + peopel elected and voted into the Grand council. then their would be a lesser council, one prolly for members and one for free, ore one for each skill, or generalization (mining+smithing+crafting, PK+fighting+ranging+magic+prayer, Fishing+cooking...)
and then sub councils (if they are active enough) for each garden. Alternately, the grand council could be made of representatives of each garden, which might still have a council. I for one, would LOVE this to be made a reality. it may be a HUGE change to the clan, and i can definently see why this could be rejected, but, hey, still a good idea, No? so, someone please check this out.

I'm not sure about that....... cause it could give people even too much power, and we'd have so many people in power..... I think it would make SeeD kind of "loopy"

ahh, but still, Cspace is the Head of council. nothing gets changed without him, so power wouldnt change. so ther woulnt be a too much power thing. Plus, if Cspae can't pick good (no power hungry) council members then why the heck does he have a clan? jeez, i'd say pay Cspace more respect than that.

see, whitefires got the idea. but yeah, there are still flaws. but this would make it easier for leaders of gardens to communicate with eachother, Information to be spread, nad such. i still think its a good odea. i think we need some input of cspace, like something to keep in mind for the future if seed gets too big, or sumthin AT least.

Well, for "The Future of SeeD," cspace is going to make roles for certain things, I'm not 100 percent sure if I understand what you're saying. Right now there aren't really any problems with what the organization is like now, but I see you want to improve it and prevent any problems from happening. Yet we sort of have something like this. There are second in command, elite generals, generals, and commanders for each garden. And commanders can choose people in their garden to be leutenaints. And for councils for each skill, we sort of already have that, too. There is one person who is the "leader" of a specialist group, and everyone in it are regular, elite, or superelites. I'm not exactly sure what your talking about much, it seemed like you changed your idea or something. At first it seems like you think there should be a group of people (councils) to lead each garden, but then you start saying that it will be easier for gardens to communicate. Then you're talking about ?global? and super mods, well, being a super mod in the forums just means you are able to help keep every forum organized. Maybe you can try explaining your idea right on the ticket, pretty much tell what you're trying to get, cause right now, I'm lost. rotate.gif

Hmm, i see what you mean, but those are Specialist Groups. anyway, that is a ranking system. we could prolly keep our old system, but also have a council. everyone would Retain their ranks. this would make it easier for event coordination, because all the council will be online regularily. after, say 2 weeks of un explained absence, they will be put on "Hold" where they are on coucil as long as they come back within 4 weeks and explain themselves. This would also allow more communication in the clan. from this i can see only good things. what are some bad points? I honestly can't see them, so please, point them out so I can LOL HElp!

Well, couild you explain how this would help a lot for better communication in the clan? I'm not real clear on that part.

well, her, it goes like this.
Grand Council->Garden Councils->Garden Council->Garden Members->Other Players

or

Garden Members/Other->Garden Council->Grand Council->Cspace->Grand Council->Garden Council->etc.

Basically, it would encourage people to talk to their leaders. PLUS all council members or leaders would have to be active. so by using active people, Info is More likely to get around.

Okay, at first glance I voted "No" to this. But, maybe someone could post a detailed explanation of this measure, pros and cons. Then we could all make an informed choice. TheSmile.gif

ok here i go on pros n cons (hopefully not to one sided)
pros:
- decisions made faster and with people opinion as the decider
- so long as ppl r active on here ever1 knows about wots gunna happen
- garden members get as big a view as any1 else

cons;
- ppl could get 2 much power(but xolon has assured me this wont happen)
- people who aren't on here often or atall might not no
- WE still have the forums don't we?
