A Job? Is my search finally over?

Well, a lot of you know I started job searching last summer. It didn't go too well. Well, either way, my dad went to go find out if there were any open positions for me at a carwash that's being built next to 7-11. The employment manager said they are all filled, but said for me to fill out an application, complete with my resume and a letter from my parents stating that I am indeed 15 and I am allowed to cell cigarrettes, and I'm fit for an interview! I have the day off from school tommorow, so I'll apply then!

You know what happens when you assume (It makes an *** out of you and me), you don't know he was going to flame. Besides, you'd be doing your job, so it would be his problem IF he decided to flame.

Anyway, I just found out that where I want to work over the summer (Monterey Bay Aquarium, where I volunteer already), they actually have applications available while the HR office is closed. D'oh! In addition, I don't have to be 16, and I may not have to wait until summer! Wish I'da known, I could have been working since LAST summer!

Bah, I'll come by while they're open anyway (Monday thru Thursday, 9 AM to 1 PM... not much, fortunately we have a 2-week break from school).

Well, wish me luck... and before I forget, good luck at the carwash Chrisbo!

Same, except I'll probably just buy the parts seperately and assemble it myself. It's cheaper that way, and I know how to do it. Besides, I have some perfectly good things that I can reuse (though most of it will be all new, so I consider it a new computer).

I'm just gonna get a new one, i dont really know how to assemble one from other parts. Besides, the computer i own now is a piece of... ummm... it's no good. The one I'm gonna save for is just over two grand, so it could take me a couple of months.

Hey, they do look nice biglaugh.gif But no, I'm not getting one of those. I couldn't see any prices on there but if they're about 2 grand, thats probably in $US. I live in Australia and because our dollar isn't as strong as yours, what i buy for 2k wont be as good as what Americans could get sad.gif I'm not sure what brand the one I want is. I just know it's alot better than what I have now. bluetongue.gif

you usaly get better results that way anyway coz home-built ones usaly have the best for you mony in and shop comps usaly have really good procecers but hardely any ram and are dead slow, but you get better results with medium fast procecers and a quite a lot of memory, better still have a fast procecer AND lots of memory, like me! (i dont get pocket money or treats or anything, just LOADS of upgrades for my pc and, ofcourse rs)

dont forget to get some thermal grease if u do that bluetongue.gif yea i got the parts and everythign separately and i spent 600 bucksjust for the motherboard processor and memory and the case and power supply eek7.gif and yea good luck with the job hunting thumb.gif i still ned to find me a new one deal.gif

I've helped put together a few computers, but don't really know enough to do it myself. For instance the computer I'm currently using has parts from about 4 generations of computers grnwink.gif
