I'd like some help for a school project about the American school system. If you could tell me about how your day at school is, what lessons you have on certain day, everything, it'd be really helpful.

Well, I'm at my final year in middle school (8th grade). Most days, for me, are like semi-boring/fun. I usually learn at least one new thing in every class, unless it's a review day for a test. We have periods ABCDEFG on Day 1, then we move each one up a spot each new day. So day two is BCDEFGA. I get bullied a fair bit, because we have a lot of idiotic tubs of lard in our school who like nothing better than failing and bullying. Unfortunately, I'm smart, which makes me a target. Now for my lessons:
A Period: Advanced Math Class (Highest one TheSmile.gif)
B Period: English Talent Pool
C Period: Gym (Quite fun, warm up with basketball, do pushups, crunches, jumping jacks, stretches. Then do drills, basketball games, hockey, football.)
D Period: Reading Class (We just finished PowerPoint book reports, we switch teachers every marking period.)
E Period: Science Class
F Period: Social Studes (Yawn.)
G Period: Expressive Arts (We switch every 30 school days, I'm currently in Art. We also have T.I.M.S. (Thriving in Middle School), Health, Tech Ed., Home Ec., Art and Music.

That's basically it.

In America, at least around here, anyway, it varies. With us, Elementary School (Primary) is from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Middle is 6th-8th Grade. And High is 9th to 12th. Then off to college. Still, it varies. For example, some Elementary Schools go to 6th grade, or only to 4th.

And in which state do you live? Also, what's the difference between Elementary and Primary School? This school system is really confusing...

I live in Pennsylvania. Primary? Well, at least where I live, we don't use that term. So, in short, I would expect none. And yeah, America does that. In math class, we had a conversation about that. For example, America uses 12 Inches to the foot. Geez. Why not just go with a plain hundred centimeter? I think our founding fathers were a bit mad in the head. loopy.gif

Reviving this topic, because I'd like to get more feedback. I'd also like to hear what you actually like about American School. Like what are the pros and cons, do you think the lessons are fun and stuff like that. Thanks again.
