Well, this is really to anyone else who lives on the east coast, or just simply the U.S. Well, maybe not Alaska...maybe...

Anyways! We've got the bugs here now. It's a nightmare. eek4.gif I was waiting for good weather for so long and when it finally comes a bumblebee smacks me in the face. I've got badmitton (probably mispelled that) scattered around my yard so that I can wack any that are bothering me.

I've got my pool opened up, too. Yet I constantly have to duck underwater because of the bees flying around my head. Sh well, maybe I can find something eventually that'll keep these things away. My dog eats them, but that's just me.

How's it for everyone else?

Random Point! Also.. you are up for most Random post of the day!

We had a short 3-day heat wave, went from averages of mid-50's to high 80's... Bugs were a nightmare. I had some baseball practices scheduled... oh my god. At one point, standing in left field, I think I had about 50 mosquitos swarming me at once... Still, it's gone down to the 70's and it's not AS bad, but they're definately coming back with the spring...

We haven't really gotten any 'durn ere in dur South. During soccer practice (right around dusk for me) I haven't seen anything, strangely enough. Usually this is the time when musquitoes (sp?) come out.

Hehe, fine over here on the other side of the world biglaugh.gif .

Although I think there is a wasp nest near my house, keep having like a dozen wasps swarming right outside the door. Thats just me though, aren't too many bugs around.

Yup, fine over here.

Although the wasps are a big problem, they always come at this time of the year. School is full of them, and I love laughing at the poor people running away from them biglaugh.gif

Are you talking about just an increase in bugs, or the cicada swarm? What will hit some of the east coast is a swarm of cicadas (harmless and cannot sting or bite people). They normally come out during the summer, however every 17 years they swarm for an unknown reason (and it will happen VERY soon due to the temperature).

Just checking. grnwink.gif

Any day now, the ground has to get to a certain temperature and I believe it is there. Can't wait bluetongue.gif

I live in Michigan and those things that look like ladybugs but arn't and bite you come in swarms during the summer. I had to help my dad move logs and build a garage in the back and you couldn't walk 2 feet outta the shade and not get bitten. Also there are these black bugs with red on them. Sorta like flying beetles or something. Maybe its because I have a river in the back of my house......
