Anarchy does work...all the time, in fact. You would be hard-pressed to find a place where it is not happening (and working well) within 100 yards of you... ants, plain and simple. Contrary to popular belief, ants are not an ordered society. They have no leader. No lone ant tells another what to do. They are in total anarchy... but, they are in order at the same time. Ants exhibit anarchy that works. The reason it works for them is because even though they all do exactly what they want, they all want the exact same thing. Each ant is a clone, thousands of sisters that, through accomplishing their own goals (which match up exactly with every other ant's goals), they end up working together. The problem with humans doing this is that we all want something different. The clear and present eventuality of such a system employed in human society is that one person's wants would rapidly start conflicting with other people's wants. This would happen in just about every other interaction. The only way it has a chance of working is if it is not complete anarchy (has some structure to give right-of-way and yet still permit a secondary right-of-way)... the other way is if we were all drones... I wouldn't like that, but as a drone I wouldn't have a choice.
Wasn't even real internet shorthand either, more like a few misspelled words with a lack of capitals.
Anyway...
Just like communism, anarchy looks good on paper but is ruined in reality... there's a reason for this (this wording - not this exact wording, but this way of phrasing it - is in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). You see, those who are suited to do a job tend not to want to do it, and those that want to are those that should not do it. To simplify, those that are put in a job are automatically the least-qualified to do it. To simplify the simplification, people are problems.

Well, would it? I think that in some countries it would work out (Canada, New Zealand, Australia, a few others) But I think in some (USA, Mexico, UK, a few more places) it would turn that country to a barren wasteland. I base this on the fact of the amount of murders those countries have (first lot of countries, small numbers [bout 100 a year max], the second lot amount of murders it through the roof [11,000+]) What do you think?
Sorry, if it's off topic, but I gotta point out...
Canada has WAY more that 100 murders a year...
Anyway, in tehory anarchy would work. but that doesn't take into consideration teh randomness of humanity. It would seem good, I mean, the people who are good at soemthing can do one thing for the betterment of everyone, but then one person attacks another and all **** breaks loose.

In Norway, there are not many, if any, murders a year. Max 5 or something. And why is that? Yes, that's because weapons(guns and such) is ILLEGAL in Norway(except high-ranking policemen and soldiers, they're allowed to). I think USA would be a much better country to live in if ALL WEAPONS WERE TO BECOME ILLGAL(no this isn't an offense against americans it's just a suggestion):
You obviously have never heard of the Prohibition. Liquor was banned in the U.S., and liquor imporation increased. Why? Lots and lots of smuggling. Little tavern like places wouldn't let in government agents and cops but gave the booze to others.

Just about the ONLY animals that live in anarchy are lone-hunter predators, such as bears, hawks, etc. Even then, there are ties maintained between family members of such animals; a child bear sacrifices its liberty in return for protection from its parents. Not really all that different from what humans do, really. Ants do not live in anarchy. Every ant does what they're, for lack of a better word, programmed to do to serve the hive and the queen. Ants live in dictatorship.
Insects have government?
I saw the Pixar movie A Bug's Life and I guess maybe they have government...
By the way, isn't anarchy a lack of government?
Just my two cents...

Anarchy CANNOT work. The common man is incapable of acting in good judgment, clearly evident via the number of people that use drugs, drink, or smoke in the world. Thoreau's philosophy, that "government is best which governs not at all," is total rubbish. The majority of the people in the world are incapable of leading themselves, and need to be led by the capable. Recommended reading: Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes.
if they want to ruin their lives, why should we care.
