It has been days since the retreat of Forlon at the end of the battle in the south. They plan to regroup and fight another day, knowing that the stone has been lost for now. There is little advantage to waste supplies holding the entire desert as Forlonian territory, so all the cavaliers have gone back to the rainy fields of Valronia to defend their lands.

Aderon, on the other hand, continues to pursue the relic. Under the shade of dark clouds, the knights patrol the ghost town of Maldenar in search of clues of the adventurers' passage. They do not realize how close they were just a few days earlier.

Something is not right. The frequent tremors have stopped, the wind is still, and the ominous clouds bring no storm.



The next chapter of this story will begin in the abandoned desert city of Maldenar, now occupied by the knights of Aderon. In anticipation of the events that may follow, they have fortified the city as a fortress where they will wait until the darkness passes.
