Hello, I'm trying to help my room-mate with his Sony Vaio C25G Laptop. When I power it on, the lights turn on and the system boots up. I can hear the start-up sounds and everything. The problem is the LCD screen is not turning on. I thought replacing the LCD screen would fix the problem. I ordered a new screen and installed it. It seems I am still having the same problem, the LCD screen is not turning on.
I seriously thought replacing the LCD screen would fix the issue. He doesn't want to throw the laptop away and replace it since everything but the screen seems to work fine.
Also, I tried connecting it to an external monitor. When it is connected, it is just a black screen aswell. But when I disconnect it, the screen says "No Signal" so obviously it is picking something up. I'm guessing secondary monitors are not enabled but I would not be able to enable it since I cannot see what is on the screen.
Specs can be found here: http://www.sonystyle...gn_c25g_h_e.jsp
If any further information is needed I can provide it (Pictures, Service tag, etc.)
Any information on what else I can do to fix the laptop is appreciated. Thank you very much.
(I charged $70 on my credit card to help him fix it but it isn't working so he's not reimbursing me lol)

Is it still under warranty?

Just look around there, maybe you can get it RMA'd.
