Perhaps we can add a small (and I mean small) persistent effect bonus upon achieving a title. For instance, earning the title "Master Warrior" will give you melee damage +5, or "Guardian" for received physical damage -5. This would give more substantial incentives to finishing a branch or tree, rather than stopping midway through.

Well, for most of the Tier-3 trees there will be a substantially powerful ability for mastery. Whether it be a focus that makes basically the entire tree more powerful, a unique ability that needs to be limited for balancing, or the "most powerful" in the area that makes a tree unique, there would be something that makes it worth becoming a master.

In the way I was originally thinking though, the titles themselves would somewhat correspond with a class name for roleplaying. I'd steer away from making stats based on too many things, but perhaps something else could be linked to the titles later. thumb.gif

I don't think anyone would care about getting five more DP... bluetongue.gif

Master a bunch of titles and they add up. But I think that's what Cspace is trying to avoid. He wants to keep this simple so everyone can jump right in.

Not unless every single Master bonus is the same thing. Otherwise, there'd be too few for it to add up to something worthwhile XD

I only put +5 as an example for a Tier 2 mastery... Imagine the Tier 3 version...
