You begin your trek to the bridge, keeping your rifle shouldered at all times, keeping a close watch on your ammo meter. You know you haven't fired yet, but you always want to be sure it's full.
Every sound warrants immediate attention. Your visual marker increases its intensity to make your surroundings easier to see, but you're all too aware of the darkness that's surrounding you. After walking a considerable amount of time, static rumbles over your COM system.

"...Ss. Khht wherrre.. Fiiinnd." Is all you are able to discern. Suddenly, Lysitheas voice amplifies over the systems,
"Analyzing transmission." Her voice startles you to such an extent, you squeeze your trigger, only to realize the safety is on. You sigh with relief knowing to fix this problem, and silently curse Lysithea for startling you. She is aware of her mistake, and continues.
"My apologies for the scare, Major. But I need to inform you that those messages we received... They didn't come from anything we've documented. Not Human, Covenant... Or Flood. When we get to the bridge, you can link me straight to the stations infrastructure, and we'll get a better idea of it then."

Just then, a shadow dashed across your line of vision. Even with your heightened senses, you were unable to track it. You manually turn up your HUD brightness to display everything as if it were in broad daylight, and the shadows source is found.

Down the hallway, stood four humanoid figures. Upon further inspection by you and your AI counterpart, Lysithea explained,
"Schematics for those armor types, those are... SPARTAN IIIs? They are fully protected with Grade 2 EVA armor. They are excellent zero gravity soldiers, but I was unaware that Admiral Berman had sent Spartans..."

You lower your rifle and warily greet the four EVA Spartans, who stand motionless before you. Lysithea clicks a red LED light inside your helmet, warning of danger.
"Major, something is definitely wrong here. Those four Spartans, they're not right. I'm not getting any heat signature from them at all, and recording no vital signs. They're dead." Her miniature avatar flushed from iridescent blue to white as a ghost, expressing a terror that seeped into you.
"Major, they shouldn't be standing. They shouldn't be moving. I suggest immediate evasion. Get out of here!"

You shoulder your rifle once more, and take a single step back. The point member of the EVA squad takes a lumbering step towards you, reaching out to you with grasping hands.

Will you

Engage the four hostile EVA clad SPARTAN soldiers

OR

Attempt to escape to the docking bay from whence you came
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

Trusting his AI's judgment, Erich heads to the docking bay.

Heeding Lysitheas advisement, you begin to back up with a quickening pace, never taking your rifle iron sights away from the EVA Spartans. With each step you take back, they advance two towards you. The red LED warning light flickers as hostile targets enclose on your area. You decide to wait no longer and begin a full retreat. As soon as your pace evolves into a run, the EVA Spartans give full pursuit.

Through passageways and corridors you move with intense speed with sure steps, never considering a wrong move. You silently wisp through the station, making it to the docking bay with no difficulty, save the four EVA Spartans dogging your trail.

You are now in the docking bay, surrounded by the four EVA Spartans. Your quarters are more open, but you are cornered. The battle should be considerably simple, but you weigh your options. Where will you engage the four EVA clad Spartan soldiers?

Will you

Engage the EVA Spartans inside the docking bay

OR

Lure them into the vacuum of space and engage them in reduced gravity?

Erich decides to engage them in the docking bay, knowing that his enemies are (or were, at least) excellent zero gravity soldiers.

Lysithea pipes up in your ear.
"What are you waiting for, Major?! Take them down! NOW!"

So engage them. Get creative.
