Yarr! I've hosted several riddle comps before, and ya'll have participated with great enthusiasm, so for the Garden Festival, I thought i'd start another up. ^_^

I'm still thinking what I should do for prizes, probably something Runescape/Guild Wars based, depending what games the winner and other place getters play in. bluetongue.gif

Just a heads up, there will be riddles, logic puzzles, maybe sudoku puzzles, some cryptography stuff... Loads of stuff, Just to make sure theres something for everyone biglaugh.gif

Alright guys, here's the first one.

Riddle 1:

I am tall when I am young.
I am short when I am old.
When I live I glow.
From your breath I die.

What am I?

Scoreboard:
---

PS: IPB Image Gotchya! bluetongue.gif

EDIT: Holy smokin' moses, I use a lot of commas... Most of them are incorrectly used, too! bluetongue.gif

Of course! A candle!

You deserve it if you're right, and I think you are!

Hehe, I was going to say a tree struck by lightning if I was wrong bluetongue.gif

Hehe, riddles don't always have one definitive answer. bluetongue.gif A lit matchstick will do =P

Scoreboard:
Groban - 1 thumb.gif

Question 2:

For each group below, fill in the blanks with two words that differ only by their first letter.

For example:
Stop thinking over here. Go _ _ _ _ _ _ over _ _ _ _ _ _.
Would be "Stop thinking over here. Go ponder over yonder."

1. An untrained person could be killed in these woods, but there is little _ _ _ _ _ _ for a _ _ _ _ _ _.
2. Writing an "A" on your dish rag would make it a _ _ _ _ _ with a _ _ _ _ _.

Kinda tricky icon_sweatdrop.gif I only got one of them right bluetongue.gif 1 point for each correct answer =P

Scoreboard:
Groban - 2
Charlie - 1

Question 3:
Mischievous Spell Checker.. devillaugh.gif

The following TV and Movie Celebrities have been Spell Checked and are ready for you to uncover their true identities.
For example:
Kite Wingless could be Kate Winslet.

1. Court Coax
2. Action Cutter
3. Deli Moose
4. Camera Dies

PS: I've actually tried it out in word o.O Not exactly true, but they're fun anyway.

Just throwing an idea out there, let me know what you think. For questions with multiple answers, such as this one, or the previous one, should we make it that each person can only submit one answer? Just to spread points around and so it lets the questions last longer? bluetongue.gif I like this idea, but i'll scrap it if you guys say so. bluetongue.gif [Btw, for this question that rule does apply temporarily.]

4: Cameron Diaz

And yes. I think it'd be a good idea so people can only submit one answer TheSmile.gif
