Well, a few friends of mINE have an Iphone and every time I look and play with them I really want one of my own. Only bad part is that it will set me back $300-$350.
Any suggestions or any rumors going around that they will be cheaper very soon?
I heard that the Iphone is going 4G on ATAT, which would make the normal ones a good bit cheaper (in 2 mo).

Good choice, those were on sale at CostCo for $50 w/ 2yr contract (forgot wich kind, but it was a cool one). Mine (contract) ends in Nov though.
I always love when the contract ends becouse then you get nice deals on phones.

Na, I would just unlock it. I am on a T-mobile family plan and can add another $6 a mo for basic internet which includes everything except viewing videos. For the full internet you have to fork over $20 a mo .
There are a bunch of good deals on craigslist.org but its hard to find someone that will accept paypal and ship it to you or lives locally.

dont by an iphone! i have a friend who has one and she says it sucks. apparently, apple builds phones worse than they build computers.

dont give in to peer-pressure.... buy a decent phone.

I know that the BlackBerry's features are somewhat expensive too, depending on the phone. The only thing I really care about having is good Internet access.

Well, I bought me a Brand New Iphone for $325. 8GB of Apple, hopefully I can unlock it (T-mobile) and put a bunch of cool games in it when I get it, which should be in the next 7 days.
I am sticking to the $6 internet for T-mobile though which has everything except video ($20 a mo a bit too much).

Sold Iphone for $380 on ebay (-$20 fees)
Iphone 2 about to come out and there was a problem with my old Iphone I couldn't fix and I unlocked it so I just sold it.

They new $200 iphone is a very good price compared to other cell phones like it, and it carries the name brand Apple (which affects the value to most consumers). The contract is 2yrs with ATT, but that is normal for most phones to carry contracts and most people get a phone that comes with a contract. Also the reson they did not come out with 3G in the first place is just that they did not have the technology and resources for it ( I know, it is a bit of a downer). Soon you can get the Iphone w/o a contract for around $600. A lot of smart phones have the same deal. Apple made it extremely hard to get an Iphone w/o a contract becouse now you must sign up in store (only) so I will more then likely switch to ATT when my contract with T-mobil ends in Nov. .

They should of had the technology as nearly every phone of similar class + price range at the time was coming out with 3G but now they have 3G I am considering buying one myself.
They are rather sexy but still a £30 a month contract minimum which I believe lasts for 12 months

It is extremely hard to get an Iphone 3G w/o signing a contact now and theirs no way im spending 600$ on one from ebay. The Google Android is coming out in a few months and will be unlocked and costs $250. I will defenatly look into that. It looks amazing so fare and makes so anyone can design an application and distribute it freely. Also it comes wih all the slandered smart phone stuff. It will probably carry the new google web browser on it as well. Deffinatly look for that before deciding on buying a new phone now. The holidays are bringing in a bunch of new phones and good deals as well, good thing thats when my 2yr contract ends.
