Sadly, the term "historical" here means not "historically relevant and worthy of a permanent memory," but rather "archived due to being flagged as 'inactive' for three months without anybody pointing out that the guild is, in fact, active." If you were to look us up on the Wiki, you'd find only this non-page. The archived entry, which looks to have been written mainly by Ratty and Goto, is located here instead.

Now, GWW's policy states that "Users may only remove the {{historical guild}} tag if the guild is in fact still in existence," so I thought about simply removing the tag, and moving the page from "Guild:Defenders Of Aderon (historical)" back to "Guild:Defenders Of Aderon" where it belongs. But then I decided to bring it up to date, too. Have a look at the draft. I added some more details, including our background and roots. Would like your opinions before it's posted more prominently, though.

All you updated was your name and "former leader" status? If that's all I missed, then awesome!

And I think I came across that story a little while back but didn't really read it... *digs* This, in the previous GWW thread, or is there another I missed? I like where it's going, and coming from, and at. A nice blend of GW/Darkstorm lore and CurvedSpace/DoA history. I do find it a little hard to read, but that may just be my sleepiness talking. Anyhoo, ...yes. I like it. And if everyone else likes it too and says "yes, this should be our backstory," I see no reason not to adopt it as such, and put it in the article, and on our site, and... I'm rambly tonight gosh.

I do think a few pairs of eyes should fact-check it though, so far as referencing existing lore. For GW I really only know the events of Prophecies (and then only the in-game story; I haven't read the Manuscripts in ages), and I know nothing about Darkstorm.

Some of the writing there is pretty bad, but if there was a reworked version I guess it might be cool to display. I'd completely forgotten I wrote that, mostly I can't get over how many fantasy and science fiction books I was completely ripping off with it.
