Since the member total reached what is necessary for the forum to exist, I have added it to facilitate organization and everything. So here it is. bluetongue.gif

Anyway, I personally see this faction having a ton of potential. It could even be the branch of SeeD that gets factions going in general. I am more than willing to help promote it because of this potential, but I would recommend a few things first to boost the guild's activity and membership (up to Traver though):

- The site's URL should probably be somewhere in the guild news/message thing at all times in some way, would promote activity in the community and help everyone get to know each other. This is commonly done in some guilds I know in other games, would probably help here.

- Once we have capes I can probably recruit a large number of members if desired. Thinking that maybe at first we should hit the newbie world, since we're new right now we don't have much strength anyway. Even if those we recruit now are lower, they'll become strong at about the time when we become stronger as a whole and in numbers. Won't be as strong at this moment, but looking a little bit ahead that would change.

- To go with the above we should probably decide on a cape design.

Just suggestions, still Traver's faction, but I think it has a lot of potential just waiting to be reached.

Traver is considering turning the leadership over to somebody else, I believe.

Not sure who, he just didn't seem that interested in leading the faction, and thought he might not be active enough.

Still, we'll wait on his decision. If he decides he wants to I think he'd make a good leader. TheSmile.gif

Yeah, I was going to post the URL to this forum when we got one, but as Goat said, I don't think I'll stay as leader. I don't really play much, and I'm not really a good leader...

(I edited this part of my post out because I was confusing myself, lol)

You shouldn't doubt yourself, I'm sure you'll be a fine leader if you want to be. Would have to start somewhere, and a game like guild wars with actual clan support is probably the best place to try it. thumb.gif

Maybe if time is the main issue, you could promote a friend of yours who is active to leader as well (if they allow more than one leader in GW). A ton of time isn't really required when others such as officers can also help out with recruiting and other aspects, not all on one person, so the pressure really shouldn't be too great unless time becomes a real problem.

Actually.... To make things even easier, I made a subdomain to link to the docked forum. It will go to the Defenders of Aderon forum (this one) but the rest of the site will still be visible.

The subdomain will be doa.cspacezone.com, and should be active in an hour or two. It will go directly here, so it should be easier than the normal string of letters and numbers to link directly to this forum.

Edit: The subdomain was activated unusually quickly, it is working now. The URL is doa.cspacezone.com and it links directly to this forum.

Ooh, that's pretty cool, thanks Cspace. TheSmile.gif

I don't think you can 'technically' have multiple leaders of a guild in-game, but we could have Traver as leader and then have a number of officers who were also capable of leading the guild. Officers are able to edit the announcements and invite people and so forth, so that'd probably work well enough. I certainly don't want to be leader, but I guess I wouldn't have any objections to something of that nature (as long as others didn't mind, hehe).

*ahem* to clear things up on that, the leader of a guild is able to promote people in their guild to all sorts of ranks, including co-leader. so you could still have trav leading, and just appoint a co-leader. or something.

Feed the plushie!
(Rayquaza plushie? WTF? It doesn't look anything like the other plushies!)

Through our bleeding we are one.
