hey guys, was wondering if anyone here is into country music? I'm such a country music junkie and a couple weeks back I got into the Eli Young Band's song When It Rains on http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ztHNs_b_sy0 when I was just lookin for some new country tunes to listen to with my roommate from umgd. Anyone into their music? I guess from their imeem.com/eliyoungband music page says that their new album comes out 9/16 so once I hear more music from them, i'll think about getting it. but it does cheer me up a little after having a bad day... icon_sweatdrop.gif but yeah just wanted to share this country tune with yall and see if you guys like it like I do.

I can't stand most country/western music (i.e. pop-country; "Kentucky Fried Music"), but I've been known to enjoy a bit of actual country (which sadly nowadays is considered "alt.country"; i.e. folk or Americana).

Especially Neko Case.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm still a fan of country. I mean Eli Young Band is not entirely country. it's a little rock/country. I guess they kinda try to mix it up. at least it sounds like they do...

I work at a Hardware store, and therefore forced by nature to endure it, and as an honest man, I can come out and say there are some country songs worth listening to.

Deviating from the norm a little bit, being the Southerner I am, I'm not hardwired to like the stuff. The kind of songs I like are ones that don't make you depressed as hell when you listen to them. Not the "Tear in my beer" stuff, but the fun stuff. Things you'd like to hear.

But being raised in part of the culture, I've managed to sift through the stuff that's worth listening to. AKA Alan Jackson. I defy anyone to come up with something wrong with a single song by that man, with "Being country" being excluded.

Alan Jackson - Good Time

That there is an awesome song in the country category, and one of the only few I'll listen to.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.
