I can't say anything about Sony Vegas, or any other high end video editor, but WMM blows. It's very limited in what it can do.

Also, I might make a video. It will be boring.

Check the site and especially the forums. There's a huge list of great edits.

There's really very few limits to what WMM can do - people can and have used blue screen with it among other high-end effects.
