This is a story i wrote for English class (sorry if it's a bit short). We had to take a part of the Perseus myth and retell it as if it were now. I made mine a somewhat humorous restoration of the run-in with Medusa. So without further ado, I bring you, Medusa! Retouched for 2004!!


Bob Barker, now armed with a bulletproof vest, G unit shoes, and his mother’s alligator-skin purse, entered the Neverland Ranch with his taser held at the ready. Michael Jackson could pop out at any moment to turn him to stone! Remembering this, Bob took one of the hundreds of hand-held mirrors found all over the house, so he wouldn’t have to look at Jacko’s disintegrating face.
A roar emitted from around the corner and Michael Jackson snaked out with a sack of noses tied to his back. Bob quickly turned his attention to his mirror as Michael threw a nose at him. In mid-air, the projectile turned into a rabid seven year-old boy.
Bob dived to the side as another nose was thrown. This time it didn’t turn into a boy and remained dormant. Barker dashed into the hallway and picked up the nose. Using his mirror, Bob saw where Jacko was and swiftly hurled it at him. Unfortunately for Michael, it worked, and since he was too busy looking at himself dancing in a mirror, the boy quickly bit off Jacko’s head. The child then fell to the ground, a nose again.
Bob Barker took the head and put it into the alligator-skin purse. It wasn’t enough to stop pieces of the monster’s nose from falling on to the ground, though. The plastic/skin turned into seven year-old children, leaving the Neverland Ranch too annoying to ever be passed through again.

Now is not the time bob! Aren't you on the... wait no, that's new age music... and I'm still oblivious. I saw that already, Mine was wierd. It was about perseus being a guy thats in trouble with the mafia... Mama mia!

LOL! I liked that Roadtoad! I love how talk about wacko jacko's decaying face, and pieces of his nose falling out of the (aligator skin) bag. Very creative, and funny too!


And indeed, not man nor beast is as scary as the infamous "wacko" jacko

Yes, I recall this. A thing for English, we read Perseus, then were told to choose a section of it and revamp it to 2004-ish terms. Mine was something about Percy killed the alien in his F-18 and then killed the king of the island with its ray-gun.
