The following are the current ranks:

Leader: Basically the one directing the guild. GoA is largely member-led, so the position of "Leader" is usually just administrative unless a problem emerges.

Leader: Since the game prevents multiple characters from being in the leader position, I created this rank to mimic it. All permissions are enabled for those in this position, except for the capability of editing the ranks themselves (which the game doesn't provide as a permission).

General: Technically the same as Officer in permissions, except that Generals can influence the Officers by promoting to or demoting from that position (should the need arise).

Officer: Officers can manage notes, as well as all of the ranks below that of Officer. Members can contact officers to receive any of the volunteer positions or to have their public note updated.

Myrmidon: Volunteer raid and PvP specialists. While anyone can conduct events along these lines, myrmidons would focus on keeping such events happening.

Guide: Volunteer community people. Guides would focus on helping new players understand the game, keeping the guild chat friendly, and working with others to help with quests and anything else they need.

Recruiter: Volunteer recruiting specialists. While anyone can recruit, those with the Recruiter title would focus on it.

Guardian: The "member" rank.

On Leave: Just a rank for those inactive for a long time, usually more than two months. We currently don't kick people for inactivity, but this will allow "Rank" sorting to put those who are active at the top.

Initiate: Currently no different than Guardian, except all new members are brought into the guild as Initiates. They will be Initiates for a brief time while they are becoming accustomed to the guild. They can be promoted to Guardian by an Officer or Admin shortly after being recruited in most circumstances.

*************************************************

Here are a few aspects that may be different than some guilds:

- All members can organize raids, whether spontaneous or otherwise. Organized raids can be posted in this forum, or a General/Leader can be contacted to add it to the message of the day. Spontaneous raids should be organized through guild chat.

- At the moment all members can recruit (/ginvite {name}). This shouldn't be a problem since we have no specific requirements for joining.

*************************************************

This will be amended as ranks are added or altered.
