So... Thoughts anyone? It was a bit light on any actual gameplay, but at least they showed a reasonable amount of in-game graphics. It's all giving me the impression that it might still be a way off the horizon, but any sign of progress is good at this point. And some of those areas look stunning.
Oh, and there's some concept art at http://www.facebook....id=114036714208 too.

Well I'm not expecting too many surprises in gameplay. Although...
That sort of suggests that there will be more movement involved in battles, if they're actually making jumping a big enough part that it'll affect skills.

The skill system will be modified. There will be fewer, less complex skills which may behave differently in different situations, such as if the character is jumping or is surrounded by monsters.

I like "way off the horizon." Suggests we'll be getting a quality game when the time comes. Plus, gives me a chance to finish Prophecies and maybe start on another campaign. Maybe. ;P
Will check out the video later; busy atm <_<
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

There's been a few interviews since then, mostly rehashing the information that has been around for a while. They've mentioned that there will be more non-combat stuff in the game, including crafting. Also that there won't be 'quests' as we know them, there will be 'events' that happen at random intervals, the example that keeps getting thrown around is a herd of centaurs attacking a garrison and all the nearby NPCs and PCs having to band together to hold them back. It's an interesting take on questing in a persistent world, but when I've seen it in the past it hasn't been incorporated very well. I'm hoping Anet can get it right. Presumably story-relevant stuff will still be instanced, as in the past.

This trailer didn't pump me up too much, I wish they'd invest in making more cinematics like Blizzard does. I am still much more thrilled for Diablo 3 at the moment (which just recently released the new Monk class preview).

Well for me at least, cinematics are cool but cinematics as game trailers bore me. They tell you nothing of substance, I'd really rather see gameplay so that I can get a feel for how close to completion something is. The GW2 trailer shows that the in-game graphics are relatively complete (they've since stated that it was entirely done in the engine, no trickery involved), but we didn't get to see any actual gameplay unfortunately.

I personally didn't notice much in-game graphics there, just a lot of the art cut-outs. I think some gameplay footage is essential to make a game teaser a trailer. But that's probably what they're still working on.
