Contamination Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions!

Quantities of Dihydrogen Monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the Midwest, and recently California.

Despite the danger, Dihydrogen Monoxide is often used:

* as an industrial solvent and coolant.
* in nuclear power plants.
* in the production of Styrofoam.
* as a fire retardant.
* in many forms of cruel animal research.
* in the distribution of pesticides.
* as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

Ok, this had been on long enough. I will now reveal the joke behind it all for those who haven't gotten it yet.

Di = Prefix for 2
Mono = Prefix for 1

Dihydrogen = H2
Monoxide = O

Final Result: H2O

Yep, Dihydrogen Monoxide is just water. Despite it being water, every last statement made was true. bluetongue.gif

Frostbite can cause such damage, try it if you must.

Water is addictive. You absolutely must have it to live.

Water can induce vommiting. Try downing 2 gallons in 10 minutes.

Too much water throws off the electrolites by a bit.
