Our class just started a lesson on global warming and effects. In my own opinion, im quite the science expert (for my age and grade, im like the smartest kid in class). I went to the Cannon Envirothon where our team took 1st and then we went to state and got placed 7th out of 18 teams. Its not good, but I wasnt there to help (Thats a Looooong story!)

So, I would like to start a topic on global warming. If anyone has some interesting facts or needs help, im here. Were doing a report on it soon so I need some phenoms in the report.

Effects of global warming:

-Rise of temperature.
- Areas around the equator become arid and dry, the mid west will no longer be able to produce crops
-Areas in Canada and Russia may become warmer and be the ideal new place for growing crops
-Places like Saudi Arabia and India may become wetter and be more hospitable
-Many animals will become extinct
- The oceans will rise anywhere from 10-400 feet! Coastal areas will be devistated and Calfornia and Australia will become under water!
- Violent storms!
- Changing weather patterns

If you have more to add there, that would be great!

Greenhouse gases like CO2 and CFCs produce the main toxins. But there is also Ozone, which is made when fossil fuel exaust combines with sunlight. And water vapor, believe it or not, is a main greenhouse gas!
