Okay...A silver bullet does not kill a werewolf. That is yet another adaptation on old legends thanks to hollywood. a silver handeld knife, or club is said to do it. but that is still an adaptaion from earlier sorces. the only two real ways is to mortaly wound the wolf ( a shot gun could do it lol), and then revive it when it reverts back to human form(they do that when they are killed or seriosly injured in wolf form). By doing this you let the wolf side of them die and save the human side. the other way is to find the one that sired the said werewolf and kill it. also getting bitten doesnt mean your in the club. just l;ike some wild animals carry rabies, only a portion of wvere's are transmiters as well as carriers...A wvere can go wolf at any time, the full moon is simpley a night where it is usualy very bright out and makes the best time for congragating and hunting. the form the wvere takes when they change is not some twisted half wolf half man, but rather a full wolf form with the added size and strength of a human. that is why in the books the kills always look like they were done by a bear or really big wolf. that is what make a werewolf more dangerous(that they are much larger, and strionger becuase they have the added mass and strength of a human to there build), form follows function of course. its a scaled up wolf. they rarley run together in a pack as any one of them can take down alone what a regular wolf would have to do in a group(they are not pack animals)....if there is any thing else you need ta know just post it...and btw marek999999, removal of the skin is a metiphor taken too seriosly, and means to kill the wolf side of them to let the human live. and not to be rude or any thing but I would not consider r.l. stien to be an authority on the subject( read those books in junior high...good stories...but strictly from the imagination).

It's really simple to kill a werewolf.

It involves:
A shotgun
The Werewolf's head
A shotgun shell
Your hands

Understand?

The silver bullet garbage?
Please.

I'd like you try and find a silver bullet.

As with anything, fire will burn it to the ground!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! (sorry... fire's my thing... I'm a pyro...)
Any wound that destroys the heart or brain kills one apparently, but why not severe blood loss, what about the failure of the werewolf's liver, kidneys, lungs, or other internal organs? It makes no sense...
This probably would make it to alot easier to kill a were wolf, though: kill the wolf while he is in human form! A shotgun or other weapon will help (obviously) because he has no more strength than a regular human (I think, if you prove me wrong, I'll do a bit of editing)

garunda te and others have hit apon something I definately forgot. the ways I provided are to kill the wolf and save the human. But I only gave enough info to say "heres how to save the person from this afull fate"....yeah, shot gun to the head and all that stuff...it works just fine. I kind of over looked that one might not always be interested in any thing but taking the creature out lol.

and to reiterate what garunda te said...just try and find a silver bullet.... I wouldn't waist it on the wvere's if I did lol. Thats just a waist of money. And what if you miss! at least if you hit it you can dig it out and take it to a pawn shop lol. Miss and there gos $50 + and your dead Flush.gif

I been away from my forum too long, so its fun time.

Werewolfs (a.k.a. lycanthorpes) are weak to any silver object. This makes a pair of silver katanas the optimum weapon set to use against them. bluetongue.gif Guns are sloppy, you can miss and they'll retaliate. With dual katanas (and practice with them, of course), you'd own one easily. The werewolves draw there power from the moon, therefore benefit from transforming in a full moon. Some variations of this exist, but generally, a lycan in its werewolf form is no longer sentient. In other words, it isn't any smarter than a regular wolf. Killing it can be done using any method deemed necessary, provided you need not kill the human. The analogy made earlier about rabies is wrong, logically. Any werewolf that bites a human, is obviously carrying the werefolf curse, therefore will transmit it. (Like STD's, I have no clue how it origionated, just that they are there.)

That's all I know on the subject.
