Is Global Warming Real?

For a while, I've been hearing tons of stuff about global warming and how it is horrible for the environment. You hear how all these horrible things we are doing to the environment will cause a climate shift and lead to the next ice age. I was going along with this, not really caring, then something hit me while I was watching the History Channel (where the past comes alive...). I was watching some documentary on the Vikings. It was showing some stuff about how northern scandinavia was habitable by people. I began to doubt that to be true today (hey, all the pictures and stuff I see have snow in them, so I figure it is inhabitable by middle age standards.)
I began questioning this climate shift thing, so I did some research. It seems as though we have nothing to worry about global warming at all. Now, most people aren't old enough to drink, but they have parents that are. Ask them if they've ever had wine from England. It's very unlikely, as any such wine would be nearly 9 centuries old. It "used" to be warm enough in England to grow vines and such, but do to what scientists are beginning to realize was a small climate shift, England's vine industry failed because it got to cold. This must have also been responsible for the cold spots on scandinavia now.
Whats really happening now, is not that we are destroying our climate, its just that we were experiencing a 900 year cold climate, and it is now comming to an end. It's about to get a lot warmer regardless of CFC's or coal burning, or even nazi feminist groups. The only thing humans can possibly do to effect the environment is nuke earth. So stop your worrying, global warming is a fake.

Global warming is a "theory" hippies always fall back on when all their other propaganda is failing. When they get caught stretching the truth, contradicting themselves regularly, and manipulating facts, they always have a blatant lie that people believe to use as their backbone. If they didn't have that BS theory to fall back on, they probably wouldn't exist anymore and the world would be a better place.

Global warming isn't exactly a main problem.. personally I cpuld care less about it.
THe main problem that I could see people complaining about is resource depletion. Eventually, we'll run out of all resources.
And another way things will go.. is just like in the core (believe it or not, that movie speaks the truth!) if the core's geo-reactor shuts down, aour magnetic field will deplete, leaving us completely open to the full wrath of not only the sun, but a new atmosphere created by the sudden change.. constant VIOLENT lightning storms, deadly radiation, and scorching heat aren't exactly the best things to live with...

I'm with Crescens on this one. It's an idea that doesnt make sense at all. How can WARMING cause stuff TO FREEZE??! And I know they say it could screw up the ocean current but warm water doesnt mean we go into an ice age...

The ice caps will melt, and put a ton of fresh water into the oceans. This will disrupt the balance between fresh and salt water, causing the underwater currents to collapse or something. These currents are responsible for bringing warm water from the equator to the northern and suthern hemispheres. Without them, it'd get cold up here.

Yeah, salt leads heat better, so if the oceans here up north became "intoxicated" with fresh water, the Gulf Stream wouldn't reach up here. That's the theory, anyway.
I don't believe in global warning at all. There have been ice ages before, and I don't exactly think the cavemen and animals back then produced too much CO2.

Nazi...feminist... huh?
And they say global warming will cause the ice caps to melt, therby flooding the Earth with COLD water. That's how we enter the ice age. But that is stupid reasoning because of the warming already taking place! Auugh... my brain hurts...
HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(

if that is true then how would the "cold" water refreeze if it was just melted by the energy of the sun...not like the sun will just fizzle out at that exact time....or maybe just maybe the global warming is a disguise for the government of the us to spend money on developing cloning devices for an army of clones.....AHHH run!

2. nothing wrong with hippys - VERY good cause
3. Why do you think there is less snow nowerdays, and hotter summers?
If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Summer has been unusually cool here. Also, last year (or was it this year?), we had 3 feet of snow in one storm. Either the top, or the second largest, snowfall here in Maryland.
