I was thinking that as cspace is in the mucking about to see what works phase that we could help him get a load of resources?
For instance if we have loads of people making and finding squares of textures we'll be spoilt for choice as to how the overall game will look . So if cspace gives this idea the all clear we can store all textures we make and find here in the fist post, then the darkstorm team can pick ones they like to be put in the game.
The same kind of thing could be done with music and sound affects but thats not so easy over the fourms.
If we can do this the texture samples should all be the same size in pixels.

we'll ned to know the format (and pixel size) to have them in but if cspace says yes i'll chip in with some.

Correct me if im wrong but the format is most likely to be PNG isn't it?

I dont think it matters terribly because formats can be changed quite easily, but it would be a good idea if everyone used the same format.

Well... Thanks a lot, but I can't guarantee that any would be used. We have not yet reached that stage, and when we do it will have specific requirements and we should not use any provided on other sites (not sure if you would or not). This is for copyright reasons and a few other things.

But when it happens surely we can make a tile in paint and then save it in PNG format 50 pixels x 50 pixels.

Then we could upload it onto the web post them hear then you can copy the ones you want.

Grand one is right though you would be very busy with programming stuff so i personally wouldn't mind helping

We could even make our own in paint/scanned from photos/grabbed from sites that let you nick textures (which probably dont exist but I can search).
I dont really mind if this doesnt go ahead but my point was that when you do reach that stage you might have some textures you like allready in the library which you can grab and use.
Even if you only use 1 or 2 thats still shreds time off of the time ittakes to make DS.
