Traders Will Soon Be Functional

I am just letting everyone know that Traders will soon have a purpose in DStorm. They will be considered secondary characters for anyone with a post count above a certain amount and will be the only official method of creating items (other than by GM quests and anything similar). By spending a certain allowance of points per day, they can produce basically what they feel would be best (and provide them to other characters in any way, either through trades or whatever else). In turn, everyone else can trade what they have.

What the Trader can produce depends on his/her post count, but it will be limited by the daily allowance (stronger items cost more to the Trader in terms of this). Some items may also have other requirements, such as the Trader only being able to produce one ever (however all requirements will be Trader-specific, this just gives items some rarity). There will be a lot of items, some with effects, that will almost suddenly become available within the next few days. Just stay tuned so you can be on top of it when the chance comes to get equipped. grnwink.gif

The list will be very soon when Traders become functional.

Note to XZ: I know you're doing some stuff right now, but I'd recommend that you wait for the Trader system to be up because it may help you with some of your ideas with spreading things around and possible official tradeskills.

Heh, yeah. Some of the traders can travel between shops and drop off supplies TheSmile.gif

Man, traders will be fun.. I'll make "trader deposits" Where a trader can pick one set of items a day to carry biglaugh.gif

Hehe, anything can be set up that Traders agree upon, but just remember that there is not really an official currency system (that is based on calculations/is not up to the GMs). Traders can create the items, they can distribute the items how they wish (could be to your shop grnwink.gif ), and the items will then be distributed through trades or anything else. At the moment your shop can be like a trading center, which could actually work with tradeskills, quest items, and everything else. I am still writing up the tradeskill system, but it depends on the raw materials created by the Traders which can then be combined.

Hehe, neat.

I mean for my skills, certain quests open up depots that carry a set for each skill, nothing major, just supplies for shops to use. Then, factions can war over them!
The sets are so small that you can't make anything out of them alone.

So, the first depot would have these kinds of items, pick one set every day.

10 UC's
2 Iron, 1 coal
2 Torn Leather, 1 lace
2 Ice Shards, 1 Vial
2 Slime, 1 Vial
4 rough cloth
