When the water near places like Australia and the Indian Oceans temperatures rise 1-3 degrees celcius, they can travel underwater currents and create hurricanes.
Major flooding is cause mainly by monsoons and hurricanes. And this can be an effect of global warming.

When the water around the areas temperature rises, more of it is evaporated and becomes clouds. The clouds hold the water until they get over land and cant hold it, so they rain.
You can add global warming as a reason why the carribean islands are getting pummled now.
