Well, as some of you may recall, I'm a Boy Scout. All last week I was at Heritage Reservation, a world famous scouting camp where scouts come from all over the northeast to get merit badges and stuff (Its only an hour from my house, too.
). While there, I got enough badges to get the rank of Life Scout, the rank right before Eagle. I'm all warm and fuzy on the inside right now.
Now that I'm back, I can't wait to get some sleep!

Liberty here. Cooking your own food is sooooo much better, especially when you make the noob scouts do the dishes... oh wait, no. I got disentary one year. Spent way too long in the latrines.
I did get the rifle shooting badge, which was fun. You had to get 5 out of 5 shots within the size of a quarter 5 times. T'was easy for me, but I was one of few who found it so simple. You either get all 5, or just end up getting one or none at all. We weren't allowed to sight in the rifles (poor 22's...), so all my shots were outside of the bullseye rings. Its the groupings that matter though.
Oh, so people aren't really confused, Heritage has three camps, Liberty, Freedom, and Independance. The first two are for Boy Scouts, that last is for Cub Scouts. My scoutmaster would say the first is for Boy Scouts, and the last two are for Cub Scouts, though.
(I just dissed you)

Cooking your own food is a waste of time, there's so much more important stuff to be doing ... Because we don't waste time cooking food (except on Foil Dinner night, which is also a waste of time) most of us can finish 4 or 5 merit badges in the course of the week.

BTW:
Dysentery- An inflammatory disorder of the lower intestinal tract, usually caused by a bacterial, parasitic, or protozoan infection and resulting in pain, fever, and severe diarrhea, often accompanied by the passage of blood and mucus.
Basically, if you consume anything soapy, you'll usually get this.
