I'm not saying what game this is from because some loony is going to look it up on GameFAQs if I do.

In the town of Narshe, a locked house contained something called "Ragnarok." What character was needed to obtain this Ragnarok, what two manifestations could it be retrieved in, and what were the completely unique benefits of each manifestation?

And yeah, I agree with JGJTan. "She"'s right that the older Final Fantasies are better.

*runs*

Yeesh, two baps in one post...

Um don't you get it in the weapons shop in Narshe after you retrieve Locke since he has to pick the lock of the door?

You can get Ragnarok in an esper form or as a sword I think... and it can change a monster into an item.

And twak.gif to you Cressie! Gah!

JGJTan, you forgot the unique feature for the sword... umm.... it can teach Flare, and Ragnarok Esper can teach Ultima.

At least I think that's what Cres was refering to.

I said completely unique. Things that flat-out CANNOT be gotten if you choose the other option. ( Flare can be learned from Bahamut (I think it's Bahamut) and Ultima from the Paladin Shield. )

I'll give one hint:

Achoo.

That's the hint.

Hmmm... That's a while back. Was it that the sword Ragnarok randomly casts Flare when equipped, without using MP?

Pretty sure there was at least one other weapon that did that. That's not what I was thinking of.

Stick to the hint.

Well I have to go now, don't know when I'll be back on again. bluetongue.gif

To be fair, you probably should post the hint here. Means nothing to me, anyway. grnwink.gif

Wham. Stuffy got the last .25 points of the question.

+ .75 to JGJTan, +.25 to MoS.

JGJTan gets to ask the next one.

The Ragnarok magicite can be turned into a sword or left as a magicite.

If left as a Magicite, it is the only thing in the game that can turn enemies into items, while if turned into a sword, it can be bet at the Colosseum to get the Illumina, the only weapon in the game stronger than the Atma Weapon.
