pfffft, ive only played FFX, FFX-2 and FFTA anyway and kingdom hearts is sort of a final fantasy game so what else was i supposed to think?

This boss in Super Mario RPG had the Final Fantasy IV-Jap (II-US-Eur) boss music used for his battle. Who was this boss, and where was he fought?

How was it possible for a high level Terra's basic magic attacks to do more damage than Ultima?
(Note, nothing to do with elemental properties)

I can't think of any reason other than elemental properties for them to do MORE damage...

Hmm... Just a few guesses... 
Umm.. Ultimas damage is capped?
The other magic can hit more than one person, and ultima cant (therefore doing more overall damamge)?

All damage is capped at 9999, and I was thinking of more damage to an individual target. Good ideas, though.
I haven't actually done this, but I read about it a few years back.
In particular, the three basic spells, Fire, Bolt and Ice.

I personally have never seen Ultima do any damage other than 9999, and I've never heard of thios trick before.
