Are you mad at me or shadow...?
Anyway, sorry, I hadn't realized that he posted this. You realize that this pretty much stops teh legion of alderon, right? Sure, you can still say, "Isent these urls to jagex" but you can no longer say, "I e-mailed the host and got them shut down".

We're not taking down the sites to enfore Jagex's copyright; we're taking them down because they're stealing passwords.
To this day I have not seen a site offering macros that are actually virus-free...
And how does this stop the Legion? Even if we completely stopped attacking scam sites, we can still stop in-game rulebreakers...

What about that auto-typer you used to use?

What, you mean the one I used for roleplay stuff like "Die by my blade" and deleted a long time ago?
BTW, I was referring to sites offering RS-specific macros; the one I used to have was designed for office work.

Ah. I wasn't sure if you meant all macros, or just auto-players.

Thats just a very slight loophole....
Maybe I could have worded what I said better...
The problem doesnt lie with reporting things to jagex, the problem is reporting things to the host companies, without letting Jagex do it themselves. THEY are the only one's who are copyrighted, and therefore we don't really have power to make the hosts take down those sites. Yes, many do, especially if you tell them to read the JageX copy right liscense, but it still needs to be done by jagex.

The Legion of Aderon stresses reporting these sites to Jagex, never have we (as the Legion of Aderon) dealt with such issues directly with the hosts or anyone else. Shadowdancer has done a lot to prevent rulebreaking and bring down hack sites, however I believe he has been doing so on his own. The alliance's main goal is to spread awareness so players more actively handle these situations, for only with the support of the gaming community can any real impact be made. Ultimately it should be up to Jagex to enforce the rules for their own game, but we just hope to assist with that if possible.

Basically, have the sort of impact that makes players realize how pointless and sometimes hurtful scamming, rulebreaking, etc. can be. And to never go to any site that could give you an unfair advantage or listen to anyone that tells you they can give you one. That way most will give up on scamming and such since no one falls for it anymore.
