What were the worst things that ever happened to or on your computer? Can be anything computer-related, not necessary damaging, but can be funny as well. TheSmile.gif

My worst computer experience was probably when I just bought a new computer. I installed the computer and it was working perfectly, but that night, about six hours after I bought it, I burned up one of the disc drives. screama.gif

Was just a tiny bit stressful, hehe (at least a new drive was sent to me) bluetongue.gif

How 'bout you?

Theres something quite strange and annoying happening right now for me... screama.gif

My left mouse button doesnt work... At all...

So, i used my keyboard to get to control panel, and changed my mouse to left handed bluetongue.gif

So, atm i have only 'left' clicking (using the right mouse button) - but i dont have the right click context menu... which makes certain things quite hard... Including in Runescape screama.gif

Ehehehehehe, But im buying a new mousie soon TheSmile.gif

heh, the computer im using right now has often been the bane of my life. at any random time, no matter what you do, it just resets. it doesnt have any messages or anything, one minute youre doing anything, then suddenly you find yourself looking at a black screen....the record is 6 times in less than 10 minutes...so since i have dailup (yes, i know, mock me sad.gif ), it makes getting on the net quite annoying..... screama.gif

Feed the plushie!
(Rayquaza plushie? WTF? It doesn't look anything like the other plushies!)

Through our bleeding we are one.

Hmm.. When my dad bought a new laptop, it'd suddenly reset for no reason. He went in to get it fixed, they gave him a new one instead. This one then had problems with the screen not working sometimes within about 2 days eek7.gif .
It was about then he got a refund and went with a more reliable brand, hehe.

Hmm.. my laptop is a little erratic, sometimes the backlight on the screen flickers and it can be quite hard to stop. It can be pretty annoying when I'm in a hurry and can't read the screen properly screama.gif .

Oh, and a (almost computer-illiterate) friend of mine started deleting random files to speed his computer up, some of which came from the Windows folder bluetongue.gif . Lets just say that an increase of speed wasn't one of the side-effects to it. spit.gif

I've had a few. 1 was when my friend's old computer got screwed up. So I installed McAfee for hi, and found out he had 324 viruses.

This 1 is really making me mad. At random times my monitorjust goes white. I have narrowed the problem down to the monitor, cause when I unplug it from the back of my computer it will still go white. When I called tech support before I diagnosed the problem they thought I was stupid. They thought I had a screen saver on. I'm not THAT stupid. It still does it, It's been going on for 3 weeks and is really making me mad.

Might be with this comp, coz after we upgraded it we re-installed Windows from this dodgy one my dad got in Malaysia, and we didn't re-install any anti-virus software, so we got all sorts of crap.

Also, our computer randomly boots up, so I have to flick the random shut-off on the power supply every time I turn it off...

I've had many, but I'll go with two...

A) Fried a hard drive. Twice. (Bye bye to two ol' comps grnwink.gif)
B) Cousins came over, did something, ended up needing to reset the whole comp, lost TONS of files.

bf1942 doesn't work and I spent like 8 hours trying to fix it, and nothing.... I bet it's an obscure windows option, somewhere....

Sorcerer: Like wizards, but bound to darkness. Sorcerers practice spells of destruction and darkness. Like wizards, they are physically weak, though can do massive damage if given the chance to cast a spell.

They consider Undead to be below them, and scowl at all races and classes not allied with Darkness. While they are not known to hide in the shadows like other Dark races, they are probably one of the most capable of directly harnessing the dark powers of the world to do their bidding.
- For Dark classes: Intelligence + 10; At a post count of 4000, Intelligence + 20 instead

yeah, alot of really sweet games have struggled with windows for me too.

I think my least favorite thing to ever happen to a computer was this:

w00t! I got internet on my comp! But, since my hamsters chewed the cord, i had to get wireless. fine with me. Seemed to work awesomely... perfectly... no probl-WTF?? It kept cutting out, for no reason. I plugged in and unplugged the stupid thing constantly, and it still didn't work. RAWR. Then, one day, it cut out. I got so pissed I went to ask my dad (the comp guru (worked for the dude who made up magnetic storage, and then sold to IBM...)) but he was on the phone. So i went upstairs and waited. Then, he finally comes upstairs, and says "what?" So i told him my net kept cutting out and I don't know why. So, he sits down, starts up IE, and it works. "Well of COURSE now that you can look at it it cuts out..." Then it hit me. Whenever someone picks up the cordless phone, my net dies. Why? THEY'RE ON THE SAME GOD #$%@ FREQUENCY!!

rawr. I have to get a new phone.
