8.  Abortion is wrong.  Killing babies before they are born is horrible.  Once they are alive, however, they are fair game.

As for #7, while YOU think that, each has minuses that millions upon millions of people already oppose and would hate you for. Cloning? An incredibly amount of moral issues with that. Especially if it was cloning for the purpose of labor and such. Either way, many people think that's wrong, including me. You couldn't just suddenly say cloning was O.K.

Nuclear power... Already exists in certain places, but there are so many risks... Essentially, that most likely wouldn't become very popular unless someone developed a new, safer method of producing it.

And as for #8, you can't say that. Yet again, there are an incredible amount of ethical, moral, and religious issues. Christianity says that abortion is just plain wrong, no matter at what stage. Judaism, however, while not encouraging it, says that if a mother can't really handle it, like she's raped or couldn't handle it in her life, would allow the mother to do that. All different religions and people have different views on that, and just saying no to abortion, again, would be a biiiig no-no.

Only problem with cloning humans is some sort of gene that can't be manipulated or something.

But if there was human cloning, clone some volunteers and brand the clones or something, and make them do hard labour.

Nuclear power is one of the cleanest forms of energy known to man.

Just because a badly run plant in Chernobyl's core melted down, doesn't mean it will happen to every nuclear plant. And to be safe, keep it away from major cities, away in the middle of nowhere, beside hippy communes.

And now abortion. If the mother was raped or can't afford to keep the baby, then fine. If not, no abortion.

If this country cloned for the purposes of having slaves, then I would be moving ASAP. I don't believe in slavery, never did, and I won't live in a place where it happens. I also don't agree with cloning at all. In many cases it will be used by parents who have a deceased child and they want to be able to have a child that has identical traits.

I do agree with stem cell research, however. If it is done correctly, I repeat correctly, then we can benefit. I do have a feeling that it would become way too popular and people would totally get rid of all disease by using it, then we would population problems. So I wouldn't vote for it if we had it proposed to us.

Geez, the guy's got the exact same views as me bluetongue.gif

The point is, slavery is just plain wrong. Human beings are meant to be treated as equals, whether it be in a family, in a business, anywhere. Even a human who knows nothing but the concept of slavery from birth is really considered almost inhuman, as it barely even has a will to live, apart from its own body's natural instincts. Essentially, slavery-bred clones are one of the most inhumane things a person could create (Do.).

As for stem cell research, the point of it is that it is allowed by the decision of the one donating the cells. In the case of that, I am all for it, in the sense that a life really isn't a life until it is fully developed (This can be debated by some, however.). The point is, with more research, we have the capability to cure things through and through.

Equal rights for all.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

I was told that every cell, is living. So, anything that has a cell (Or Carbon, since all living things have Carbon in it) is living. But that calls for both halves of the cell to come together. As soon as the egg's fetilized, it's living. Although by federal laws, it's not living until a certain amount of time. I think until it's fully developed (6 months?). I dunno.

I don't agree in slavery though. It should not be done, forcefully. Now, if the people get paid, treated fairly, good health plan (bluetongue.gif), etc.. I think it's alright. But that'd be more along the lines of work. Meh, when more comes up, I'll post more thoughts.

Only problem with this is that, since every Carbon-based life form is "living" in some sort of way, we kill many off every day. Think about it - We destroy countless kinds of bacteria, viruses, etc... We slaughter animals such as chickens, cows and pigs for our own benifit, I could go on and on. When you really think about human... progress in these ways, it can really get pretty sickening.

That's like saying that babies aren't human - they're a totally different species. If it looks like a human, if it feels like a human, if it thinks like a human, than damn it, it's a human.

You must not understand what a clone is. A clone is a HUMAN BEING that is basically a test tube baby, except that DNA is extracted from whatever it is you want cloned. The clone may not be identical to the actual source, but will contain the same traits. Try not basing your opinion on Hollywood and movies thumb.gif

Easy. Capitol punishment for EVERYTHING. That solves 3 problems:

1. Crime, duh.
2. Overpopulation-If people are being shot for littering, there won't be a lot of people left to litter.
3. World Hunger-You just think about that one.
