I'm sorry to bother everybody who reads this but.. I am having a debate in school tomorrow, the People v. Perseus. I am a prosecutor and I am trying to prove Perseus as a murderer. The only problem is that I have to come up with an opening statement and I cant seem to get it straight. Can anybody please help me out at all?

okay, well his initial killing was of medusa. however on that he was backed by the gods(not much of a case there)...however in traveling back with the head of medusa he turned atlas into stone during a struggle(man sluaghter), and through this he also dripped blood from the head on the africian sands creating the viper, wich sence has killed many(not sure how to clasifie that). however after this he killed phineus (rejected suiter of andromeda--whom he fell in love with) again using the head of medusa. beyond that he also slayed those who backed him. then after comming back he kills polydectes(the king who took him in, and sent him on his initial quest) with the head of medusa. after this he gives the head to athena(one of the gods--goddess in this case-- that backed him), and he screws up a lil' more after that...so basicaly yoo could argue that he continuisly miss-uses the head of medusa to turn to stone any who come against him until he is finnaly relinquished of said weapon and after that continues to kill any ways(the king of Acrisius). you could argue that his first resort to solving conflicts is murder, that where he accedently killed is a sign that he is to clumbsy to be left to roam freely in society, that he hides behind the curtails of those in power, and that even when releived of a convienent weapon he continues to kill.
p.s. dont let the defence get away with passing off most cases as accidental, focus on how what most of what he did went beyond the point of what he was supossed to do. and how his clustsy nature, and his easily diveted attentions makes him a danger.
