As you walk through the settlement, you notice a small tent in the distance. After a quick walk, you realise this is a digsite, searching for archaeological items. Perhaps they unlock a key to the past of a location?

The Archaeologist is in his tent. Outside is a marked 9 by 9 grid.


The red spot is the closest spot to the entrance to the tent. THere is a trowel and a hand broom.

Xu goes to the archaeologist, and asks him, "May I dig?"

[X Zolon]

"Why, yes you can. I'll let you keep everything you find, but I'll need to catalogue it first. I'm from the far west, where the Necronian Society of Archaeology is based. Never anger them. You'll regret it. And they see everything. Here, take this trowel and these directions."

He hands you a trowel and a note.

The note reads...

To dig, you can pick three spots a day, and dig there. All you have to do is state the coordinates. Then, you must take all finds back to the archaeologist.

"Thank you, but I have a question. Who are the Necronians?"

After talking, Xu digs in D7, E7, and F7.

[X Zolon]

He looks at you strangely.

"You know not of the Necronians? Ahh. what an uncivilized race you live with."

Your findings:

D7: (O_o you are good!) you find a small tunnel entrance! It is very messy and unusable.

E7: Nothing.

F7: You find an ancient coin!

"Sorry for not knowing of the Necronians, they are new to me, but must be great. Sir, I have great news. An ancient coin, and, something which will hopefully delight you, a small tunnel entrance."

[X Zolon]

"Interesting. I shall catalogue this coin. I don't think you have an antiques shop anywhere around here.. do you? Oh well, just hold onto that coin. I've been... talking with Nerzuul lately, and he says he has "influence" over Aderon... so perhaps he may get some form of travel to make it to Necrosa. Otherwise.. let's see this tunnel."

He walks outside his tent and looks over the tunnel.

"Interesting."

He pulls out a brush and a strange tool, and begins working on the tunnel. The tool glows purple. He manages to restore the tunnel.

"It seems that there was some sort of structure under the sands. I've been hoping to find one of these for awhile in Necrosa."

He clears it off and walks down. A little later, he emerges, and salutes you.

"There seems to be a sheet of Hyroglyphics down there. It's strange. Oh well."
He walks back into his tent.

Sergei strolls into the tent and asks the archaeologist "good day sir, may i do some digging to help with your architectual progress?"

The archaeologist pauses.

"What's with all the interest, suddenly? Yes, yes, go ahead. My equipment is in a chest in teh tent. Help yourself."

Sergei grabs the spade and digs in spots I9, I8, and I7

I7: You find a broken clock!
I8: You find a shiny token!
I9: You find a strange tablet!!!

*Xinxion enters Maldenar, and then the digsite.*

"You! Archaeologist! May I be allowed to dig here?"

Sergei writes down the descovered translation so far dug up and goes down to level 1.

The archaeologist looks at Xin for a second.

"Sure.. the stuff is in the.. HEY! GET BACK HERE WITH THAT STUFF! I HAVE TO CATALOGUE IT!"

After Sergei (Custom Robo?) left down into the next level, the archaeologist decided to reenter his tent.

"They're in a chest in here. Excuse me.."

He sits down in silent consentration.
