Nope, Cspace said "Oh, what a good idea!" and then didn't do anything with them.
They'll be appointed by Generals/Elite Generals I believe, but currently the structure isn't actually there to promote anyone. I'd get on his case about it, but it'd be like the 4th time I've mentioned it and he's pretty busy.

Hehe. We don't really apply positions...If you're on a moderator's board and he tells you to stop something within reason, or do something within reason. You should respect them, but we're no higher of importance than you are.

Captains- A specialized rank below General, appointed by the Elite Generals, and given based on a member's strengths. The following are the specific types of captains (all on equal grounds in terms of power). A member can only have one of the following positions (if given).
PKing Captain - One who shows leadership in the wilderness or other PKing situations or events. They can host PKing events, host spontaneous PKing follow-up events (at the end of other events), and unless there is another leader can lead PKing groups if present.
Event and Promotional Captain - Event/Promotional Captains can show leadership at events if applicable, however their job is promoting others' events and the clan itself. They can obviously host events, but should do anything possible to get events into the open and invite members (both into SeeD and to events). Can use any rational means to accomplish this, including promoting applicable parties on other communities. Their overall purpose is to beef up our activity, which is very important in any clan.
Community Captain - They help maintain the balance and well-being of the community (considered both the chat and forums). They help maintain a benign atmosphere, help resolve uprising conflicts if possible, work with Event/Promotional Captains to promote the community, and try to make new members feel welcome (even by PMing them welcome messages).

So basically we're waiting for the Elites to say "you're special!" and give out teh jobzorz.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Yeah, I knew what it said.
I was just relating back to something me and Cspace talked about a while ago when the idea was implemented, about having discussions between Generals and Elite Generals about who would make good captains. While the choice wouldn't actually be with the generals, they could certainly help with the decision. Don't know if that'll go ahead though, we'll just have to wait and see.
Hmm.. can't remember too well who the generals are. Superchao, Base, Star, MoS and Original Max are the only elite generals I can think of. I'm a general, as are the Phi-man, Draggy, Silverspy, and.. umm.. a few others I can't remember. Sorry to those of you I forgot, mental blank right now.
Oh, and the rank below Captains is members, Nutter was right. All the different moderator ranks aren't actually leadership positions, they're for maintaining the boards. You should still listen to them on here, as it's their job to keep the boards good, but as far as the clan itself goes they've got no more power than anyone. So if you meet one on runescape, they can't force you to give them money.

I thought mods only really have power on the forums? And the ranks don't really do anything, because we never go to war or anything, which is why I'm considering leaving for a more war-like clan, or just not having a clan and coming to things like the world war and poaching...
