Cspace.. I decided to keep track of the EP I've spent on Items, and the # of items I've created, and I spawned a random Idea.. seeing as things are going really slow.. I've created this generally...
1: Gradual item count experience:
-Basically, as the number of items made increases, the time needed to recharge EP decreases.
This might change the normal recharge rate to 7 Days, but..
5 Items = 6 Days
10 Items = 5 Days
25 Items = 4 Days
50 Items = 3 Days
100 Items = 2 Days
500 Items = 1 Day
Or, with your current set up.. Intervals would be longer.
50 Items = 3 Days
250 Items = 2 Days
1000 Items = 1 Day
So, with the ammount of items you create, the less effort you need to make it, and it'll be easier to recover from the strain of making the item. Therefore, the easier it is to regain your energy with the ammount of items you make.
2: EP consumption progression.
Okay.. so, relating to what I just said, we could try this system:
The more energy you use to construct and item, the easier things tend to be to construct a second time.
Therefore...
25000 EC = 2(Total EP)
50000 EC = 3(Total EP)
100000 EC = 4(Total EP)
500000 EC = 5(Total EP)
Of course, you can change things.. this is meant to play into the graduality of your scenarios.

Hehe, interesting idea, but not yet. Need to see where things go, we don't have that many actual people in the game and creating an exponentially increasing means to generate items could flood the place. Let's see how things work for now and then re-assess it once we know the situation.

No one is making traders because they can't. There are only 4 total people on the boards with over 4k posts. 1 of which is banned, and 2 of which play darkstorm (Unless Spike comes back to play, in which we'll have 3 people with over 4k posts).
And, it just seems to be that you're overpricing your items a bit zolly...Especially since there's not really a way we can't get that much cinii.
