It's a satellite of Jupiter or Saturn, Jupiter I think. It's the only other place in the solar system with active volcanoes, and they're pretty big.

Titan? I know Europa was the liquid one...

Jupiter is a gas giant, a solid surface has not been detected on it to my knowledge. It may condense down that deep towards the center, but it's not really the ideal situation for volcanoes to form. bluetongue.gif

You're probably thinking of Cyclones, it has the largest of those.

Ugh! Of course! It's not Titan, Titan is a moon of Saturn!

I believe the answer is... Io.

Oh, on another note. In 2001 Space Odysee it's true they were travelling to a moon of Jupiter in the movie. However in the book form it was actually travelling to a moon of Saturn. bluetongue.gif

Could be that too, I suppose. I have the feeling that Io was extremely volcanic though, with some absolutely massive ones there.

baxter is right, because of the almost nonexistent armosphere on mars volcanoes can rise much higher. Io had the most volcanic activity.

The 100% correct answer would be Olympus Mons (which I think is greek Mount Olympus). This planet is indeed located on Mars. Also, the Jupiter moon you are referring to is Io. Io has a ton of volcanos, but none higher than that one on Mars. Besides, he said "what planet is it on."

I believe you said the answer was Olympus Mons, which is wrong, never in your answer did you say the answer was Mars.

The answer is Mars.
