Rented the game. It IS as hard as everyone said it was!

Anyone played/have tips/strategies/stuff like that?

I was playing the game for 5 minutes and began to hate Dante for his... ownage meter.

Told ya....I already told you, but I'll post it here for other people too.

Swordmaster is easier, gets you more combo ratings, does more damage, kills enemies faster...Just don't get surrounded...

Gunslinger, to me, is manditory for Cerberus (the three headed ice demon dog.)

If you're a swordmaster, don't upgrade your sword much, if any, wait until you kill the dog, then you get a three ended nunchuck! Verrry nice. And the skills for that cost in the thousands range...So, save up.

Before you head off towards the dog, look around in that alley way, there are SOOO many goodies here. There are nice amounts of orbs up on the fire escape, if you bash down a garage door, there's a stone that will keep feeding you orbs till it breaks, and if you venture on, double wall jump against the wall opposite of where you find that one blue shard and you'll find a statue, beat the crap outa that and get another. To the right, there, is a door, if you go in, you can do an optional quest for fun and get a blue orb shard.

When fighting the creepy lady type thing outside of your shop, I recommend taking "The Trickster" And just dodging behind her constantly, then slicing away with your sword.

Don't forget to pick up shiny objects! They ALWAYS help.

Remember to buy items too, they're costly, but worth it.

I started to get the hang of it. Only thing I hate is that the price of healing items skyrocket when you buy one.

If you get the "Artemis" Gun, you can see blatant reference to Megaman in the structure of the gun.

Also, reference to Breath of Fire, the twin swords.. Rudra.. and... I forget the others name, are names of Dragon transformations in the forst BoF.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I played it none stop for like 10 days ! I was so TO'ed when i had to take it back. But i got it agian and finally beat it. i agree with sword master beening easiest, buy the gaunlets pawn all!! A tip for the cendaped guy, jump on his back and use the numcuck thing
