Wow, I am a Harry Potter fanatic. I read the 5th in 3 days on a vacation (meaning I was vacationing most of the time) and look at my age.

took me 10 strait hours of reading. not sure what possesed me. oh, wait, that was it. i was ill and it was the weekend. age doesnt really determine how good you are at reading either. i was reading full lenght Patricia cornwell novels when i was about 8. ('course i learnt how to use a dictionary pretty well. . .)

i agree the movies suck, they seem to have taken everything distinct about the characters, the plot, the- lets just say pretty much everything that makes the books great and DUMPED them down the drain. if you need 3 tubs of hair gel to make your hair look messy, then dont audition for the role nonono2.gif

anyway, the next book better be good. its the only thing stopping me from hating it all in the storm of media and crappy novelty items.

oh yeah, and the fact i have the first book. in first print run. in perfect condition. it would get me thousends on E-bay. not gonna sell it though bluetongue.gif

The books were good; the movies would have been good had the books not existed to get my hopes up. On the other hand, then the movies wouldn't have been made at all.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Read the fifth one the day I got it.

Movies are terrible, books are great.

I liked the fifth book, but you are right, Rat, it wasn't like the previous books- owing to pages 710 + 711. Not really. Nothing much really happened.

Except for the Harry/Ginny. headbang.gif And the Ron/Hermione kissy cheeky... headbang.gif Anyone who is still rooting for Harry/Hermione after the fifth book needs to... (perjorative term deleted).

I hope HBP is better... who is the HBP anyway? I'm thinking it's someone we haven't met yet.

I like all of the books (except the last one), and I liked the first movie (though ALL of the actors played it up too much), the second movie was good, but the third sucks, they changed it way too much. Plus Hermione was way too..."tough" and flirty in the third, did anyone find that?

Ron/Hermione is the couple Im rooting for!

i read the fifth one in 3 or so hours. yes, im that fast a reader bluetongue.gif and youre right, the movies were nowhere near as good as the books. and i say HBP is an oversize killer muffin bluetongue.gif

although, on a mre serious note, possible candidates are: harry (of course), voldemort (another obvious one), um....lupin (well hey, he is a werewolf), or someone we havent met, like abbagirl said. im putting my money on lupin, just coz its so totally not gonna be him bluetongue.gif

Feed the plushie!
(Rayquaza plushie? WTF? It doesn't look anything like the other plushies!)

Through our bleeding we are one.
