When I in the try to log into RS, all I get is a white screen and a red X in the upper left corner, what now?

Go to the Java website and download the latest version. Thats all I can think off.

JRE (Java Runtime Environment), I think. JDK (Java Development Kit) is for programming.

Yeah but during installation it says, Temp :C\ contains an invalid character..
