I have been looking through the DS rules and there are quite a few unbalanced and... how shall we say... undefined... areas.
- Zal'Dharon are basically like Elves of the Arcane Order with a -3 Strength penalty and cannot light up dark regions.
- Speaking of the elves, Elves of the Arcane Order only gain +10 Intelligence while Dark Elves can gain +20 Intelligence at 4000 post. Being able to light up dark regions hardly justifies the +20 Intelligence bonus.
- Spells and summons are underpowered. Melee characters can easily overpower spellcasters during any stage of the game and the summon made by summoner cannot handle all the powerful monsters that come with the powerful melee characters and for melee characters who have these skills, they provide almost no use. This is most severe with the necromancer, having no way whatsoever to justify the underpowered monsters, unlike the Druid who has spells, the Elementalist who has the exclusive Secondary Classes at this stage and the Wizard and Sorcerer whom both have an incredibly powerful spell... at 13k and 15k posts respectively. These justifications are still not enough.

Balance Adjustments that Should be Made

Well, I'd say a wizard with 15k posts would be a very powerful wizard indeed, and should know powerful spells, same with a sorceror. Whilst an elementalist wouldn't know any such spells...
And think about it...
Summoned monsters aren't going to be as strong as real ones...They're...summoned.. kind of like the generic brand isn't as good as the name brand.

Yeah. I also notice, (being of the character class) that Paladins are somewhat... underpowered. All of the wizards and sorcerers with decent post counts can do some serious damage, interesting effects, and Sword of the Destined Hero is as high as I go.
