I would not....there were some bad men back then, as there will always be. what made it worse is that they had power(an obvious bad mix lol). WWII was bad, of course. but it had to happen. all hostilities must eventualy come to a hilt. Stopping it before it happend back then would have not really stoped what was unleashed...it would only have put it on hold. then when the damn finaly broke it would have been even worse.

Think about this as well. He had a dream. an insane one yes. but that vision had followers. His acting apon it and having it fail, is what proved it wrong. it is what made it clear that the world wouldnt exept it. even though many died becuase of WWII. that does not neccessarily mean it shouldnt have happend. every one wanted what they wanted, and every one learned a leason for trying to force there view. had that leason not been learned...

had holucost on such a large scale not happend, there would have been nothing to learn from. had we not retaliated against the japenese for pearl harbor. or taken the islands in the south pacific. america would have sent the message out that we are push overs.

had the alied forces not assited the us in bombings, the would be powers would have been considerd weak.

had many things not have happend many lives would have been spared...but there were tentions that had to break eventualy. if we were able to put it off to the modern day it would have been a full scale nuclear war....things have to happen, some things you just cant stop, and if you do you only make it worse.

perhaps we should not have had all those german soldiers in camps in the us once they were captured, but through being here that short time we learned...learning and living is the point. things have to be put through trials, and be destroyed, or come out stronger then ever. it is the way of things. once events are set in motion, you cannot stop them, you can only attempt to alter the course they take where it counts, and let things unfold.

LoL...well those german cars were designed for what was then known as hitlers road(now known as the audobon)...the idea behind the german auto- industry is "a car for the people" it was actualy a step in the way of conformity, as they all looked very similar. but all such operations were put on hold for the war effort he made, and at one point we even captured that famous road and used it as an air strip lol.

alot of the war revolved around german enginiering, and especialy the audobon, wich is infact one great thing that came out of the war...all the new technologies. even before the dust settled the released tentions made it possibel for a whoole new boom in technological advancement.

volkswagen literally translates

Folk's Wagon = Folk's Car = Average Car grnwink.gif

and hitler loved nature, so he wanted "Volkswagen" to make a nature based car, which became a Volkswagen Beetle, since Beetles are part of nature

well on a history chanel thing(on the audabon), the narator said it was supossed to be a car for the poeple, a conformity. wich makes sence if litteraly translated it means "average car".

But hitler...a nature buff? go fig, I wouldnt have though that guy to be into much things in the way of hobbies(although he had many um...feminine destractions lol).

...
well to get back on subject, I wouldn't shoot either. How can I explain it... we learned from those who are evil on why and how they came to be...also, without evil to fight...we begin to fight amongst ourselves. That's just the way the human race is... that's just my two-cents, for whatever it's worth. bandit.gif

costumed-smiley-089.gif costumed-smiley-089.gif costumed-smiley-089.gif costumed-smiley-089.gif costumed-smiley-089.gif actually i would kill heinrich himmler b/c he was second to hitler & headed the concentration camps. he also was a maniac that put fuel in the whole aryan thing. also he was the leader of the ss. now im not saying stalin or hitler are good. im just saying that that weak timid looking ******* himmler did a whole lot too. even arnehiem(i think thats the name). even after all that he still had the gall to try to make a deal with the us to have him taken to the states with no charges.

hey, churchill & stalin had the right idea 4 himmler after they captured him. put a bullit in his head..... but the us wanted to put him on trial (i think they killed him anyways)

I really dont understand how people can hate a group of people that they havent even met so much.

also if u mean during the war & if it was.... say rommel that was in charge we would be speaking german right now. seriously hitler..... he wasn't...... all there. he pulled a couple of obvious (even at the time) dumbass moves that his generals seriously protested that cost hitler the war. i think it was something about africa... or maybe russia.... i cant remember. also... here's another example of hitlers demented mind, i may not remember correctly but i think that with england at first germany blew the hell out of air fields and factorys. they almost had the R.A.F there but hitler ordered that they bomb the citys & get the british to give up. but that made them mad as hell & they fought harder & rebuilt the airfields & factorys. if the luftwaffe would have stayed on the R.A.F england would have fallen and america would probably would have too. but.... they screwed up many times THANK GOD THEY SCREWED UP!

Xemem is completely right. You don't know what would happen if you changed ANYthing in the past. Think of everything that has occurred since the beginning of time as a tower. From the start of time, everything was built up, piece by piece, sturdy as we could make it. However, going back in time to change something means that we go back and change something in the tower. As you would guess, changing a piece in the tower might cause the whole tower to lose balance and fall. Or, it could have an undesirable effect that we would not have forseen.

Personally, I can't answer this... for two reasons. First, Xemem's reasoning - who knows how that could possibly affect the future?

Secondly, as a Jew, well, it's pretty obvious that I'm very, very opposed to Hitler. But if I were standing right next to him, with a gun in hand, aiming for his head, I'm not sure I could do it. I don't think I have the mental strength. I don't think, at this stage in life, that I could kill anyone except in self-defence.

Hitler. But, insted of shooting him, I would shove a grenade in his mouth and run away.
