A golden bird did in its mouth abide
The serpent drank the water, this in turn

Maybe something like an oil lantern where there's a wick on fire... and then the fire consumes all the oil making the flame go out? conf.gif

OH! ^_^ My mum has one of these! They're oil lamps that run on wicks with oil in a little concave bottom with a long tube like glass at the top where the heat escapes. biglaugh.gif Do I win?

I have one of those. It's that silver plate thing that kinda floats in the oil lamp and it has the fire above it. biglaugh.gif

Yes...but...You're confusing me....It seems that the silver would be a liquid or a container, since the serpent swam IN it... ><; Mercury is the only silver liquid!!!! x.x;;;

Please don't say it's as easy as "A silver oil and wick lamp"?
