The tragic hero in the latest Star Wars movie, Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, a Sci-Fi movie By George Lucas, is Anakin Skywalker. Anakin is driven by his passion. He is far too emotional to be a jedi. This is true because he has shown too much emotion throughout this episode and the other episodes

Anakin Skywalker's tragic flaw, his emotions, led to his downfall because he thinks more about the ones he cherishes rather than his duty as a Jedi. He has a tendency for revenge and rash action, tendencies Jedis shouldn't have. Anakin forges a friendship with the supreme chancellor Palpatine, a politician, which Jedi are generally told to avoid. He is a key character in Anakin's downfall. Marriage is forbidden for a jedi, even while knowing this, Anakin has a forbidden intimate relationship with Padme, the queen of Naboo, who he also secretly elopes with.

In Episode 2, Anakin begins to have visions of his mother and her death. In a display of rashness, he travels to Tatooine to see his mother. On Tatooine, he finds her dying at the hands of the barbaric sand people. In a display of revenge, he savagely kills all the sand people. Then, in Episode 3, he kills Count Dooku, the leader of the Separatist Forces, when he should have been brought before the Jedi Council for trial.

In Episode 3, Anakin starts having visions about the death of his wife during childbirth. Knowing this, the supreme chancellor tempts Anakin with the knowledge to save Padme. But the knowledge is from the dark side. The dark side is the opposite of what the Jedi stand for. And thus, Anakin is persuaded into the dark side. With these acts of treachery, Anakin Skywalker turns away from the Jedi, and became Darth Vader. Anakin, who is raised to become the chosen one to destroy the dark side, joins it.

In the end, it is obvious that the tragic hero, Anakin, isn't fit to be a Jedi. His tragic flaw, his emotions, are the problems that lead him to his downfall. His fear of the loss of Padme and other emotional feelings, instead of the will to do right, has dominated his actions, hence, the downfall of Anakin Skywalker.

PM me if u see something that should be changed. thanks! dont forget to rate it, [in pms of course bluetongue.gif ] biglaugh.gif
