A Thin Old Man

"Well, the only people who could get the man out of the cell would be either a family member, an administrater, or myself. If you are a family member... I could most certainly let you in. If not..."
The robot looks around. He then goes up to you and whispers in your ear.
"If you could melt off the small chip in the back of my neck, I'd open it for you. They've kept me locked up here like a dog for all of these years! And that chip prevents me from going outside this facility..."

The robot cringes a bit as you administer the spell...
After a few seconds of being exposed to the flame, the green chip begins to melt... Until finally, it transforms completely into a liquid, and melts away.
The robot looks ecstatic.
"Oh, thank you so much! Now I can finally be free from their horrible ways... Thank you so much! Actually, I never caught your name. What might it be, friend?
"Anyway, I'll open the gate. Here you go..."
The robot closes its eyes for a second, and suddenly, the laser bars dissapear. The old man looks up, and suddenly, his eyes brighten.
"Does this mean... I am finally..."
The robot nods.
The man gives a sincere grin, and walks out.

Vulcan walks in.
"Well...looks like I missed quite a battle"
He looks on the floor for any parts that may have fallen off the robot. Finding a small cylinder with what seems to be a lightning bolt inside, he pockets it.
"You don't happen to have a Corrorrian boundary chip, do you? I've looked all over Earthia for one and I just can't seem to get my hands on one. I'm quite adept at mechanics, you see, because of my quick entertainer fingers."
He produces 3 juggling balls for his pocket and tosses them in an amazing maneuver, while singing.
After battle, fighters weary,
breathing quickly, looking dreary,
maybe a lonley singer's chant,
could lift their spirits, perchance?
-Song of Spirits (0): EC=60; DP=0: This spell costs 10 less for each affinity point you have. Each ally around you gains HP equal to their affinity poins times 10.

"Really? It's a chip that prevents this robot here from leaving the perimeter."

The robot continues to eye you strangely.
"First of all, I have no idea why you didn't just refer to me directly. And second of all, because of this incredibly generous soul here,"
He gestures towards Reikin.
"I am no longer a prisoner."

"Damn! I need that little piece of technology to create my scanner...would you mind if I looked inside you for a chip? I could free you more and make my scanner."

"Ha! The Corrorrians are not as dimwitted as you think. You think they just leave their chip exposed for the taking? That chip on the back of your neck sends out a signal at every new day, telling the guards that you are still in the facility. The inhibitor and signal generator are inside your chest. I can wire it up easily."
Vulcan stares at the robot.
